  1. Thanks I may go to them and see. Suspect that my credit card thanks to Christmas shopping may not work 🫣
  2. Anyone got any hints or tips about this or should I go to the local bike shop and see how much $$$ they are looking for?
  3. Hi All I love my Canyon road bike and just got new pedals, shoes and lights and I have ridden it for a few years now. Went for a bike fit with Irma (most Durbanville based cyclists know who I'm talking about) It seems my stem is a little bit too long. I know that Canyon sells Ergocockpit bits and pieces but I don't live in Europe and don't have a lot of ZAR lying around to replace it. Any suggestions on what I might do? I have looked at some of those Carbon ergo bar things. Not sure which one I may trust. Attached is the size info on my current bars. I need a stem shorter that 100mm, possible 90 or 80 mm. All other measurements are fine. Thanks crew
  4. So my hardly qualified understanding is that if they add the funds to your Medical Health Saver you can only use that to pay for pills or doctor bills or whatever. Not for anything that is not "medical". Sorry but that guy at the petrol station with little bags of pills still operates a cash only business. (I thought this was humorous, I'm certainly not posting jokes about customers or small business operators)
  5. Good luck on finding some feedback and actually saving some cash. I eventually cancelled my Multiply membership a few months ago.
  6. My broker has been helping to get me onto Inspire but its worth being aware that if your Multiply was linked to Fundsatwork or Myraid and not your Health Cover (my Medical is in my wife's name to avoid my company group scheme medical aid) you may need to apply as a "new Multiply / Inspire" person. I have asked that they try link my existing Multiply score and level to the new Inspire so I am not starting from scratch. Will update when I have news...
  7. So if you are like me and "all in with Momentum" and have health, life (Myraid), retirement and short term as well as Multiply (free following a promo when I got fundsatwork with my current job) which is the better way to go? Obviously CWC vouchers and cheap Garmin devices as well as big Myraid discounts are what I like. I am aware that the Myraid discount is now "fixed" and being "dialed down to whatever it should be over the next few years. So that leaves us with CWC vouchers and Cheap devices. What option gets us that?
  8. Do you mean if you take medical aid? Or if you are "active" like I expect many of us are?
  9. Yes amazing ride from @WaldoZ and Du Toit! Thanks for posting pics where I was still pedaling myself up MAC @Velouria.... When do we get he Velo Tales "Dane Train" race report?
  10. I am finding it more effective to go to my financial adviser with my questions / issues and having his people get me the answers. The multiply support has been very slow!
  11. I am new to this as I switched to Momentum for short term insurance so chasing the elusive safe days. Sorry if this has been answered before but does anyone have a view on whether cycling impacts the "safety score"? I imagine that cornering speeds on a road bike for example may exceed "safe" driving standards? I seem to be struggling to get safe days on WFH days where the only outing was a bike ride in the morning.
  12. Thanks for sharing, not sure why this has not come my way yet. Thus bit: "most people can't be bothered with healthy heart etc." so we drop benefits for the ones who can be! Not great...
  13. Morning, where are you seeing this detail please? I have heard that the points system is getting an "over haul" but not sure where to go to find out what hoops I need to jump through for 2023. The Myraid discounts are the main benefit from where I am sitting. Thanks
  14. Working on the download etc. now. Plan is (was) to ride with a mate that is in the USA. Seems we can't setup a Group ride unless I am missing the "Group Ride" button according to this article https://support.fulgaz.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049828932-Creating-your-own-group-rides-and-races Anyone have any tips? Plan is to start at around 17:00 SA time. Thanks!
  15. Question - does anyone know if you can get the extra "Multiply Smart Shopper points" when you use the PnP Bottles app? As in when you buy at the till at PnP and swipe your PnP smart shopper as well as the Multiply card you used to earn PnP points a little faster?
  16. Used one on the weekend, received a SMS with code, read it to the check out person and transaction was done. Not sure about the app and what they do if you don't use the full value though.
  17. Thanks for the feedback
  18. Hi All Apologies if this has been answered already but hoping I can get guidance on this one. I am at Private club (happily getting good discount on my life policies etc. and saving $$$ at CWC). I did one of the "new" fitness tests around July this year. From some of the posts here it looks like the recommendation is to get another one done before the end of the year? Have I missed something? If I don't do this will I loose my current healthy heart status? Thanks! Mike
  19. Enjoyed the 100 miler event and scenery. Race was well organised aside from the choke point at the start through the narrow gate. Anyone know if the results are online anywhere?
  20. Was a great event, hardest thing ever done on a bike for me. Will I be back? Saturday night it was a no, today it is a maybe... A LOT of things are still hurting today though!!
  21. OK thanks guys seems my excel skills need some work... But yes this time next week will be on the road to the start
  22. is it just me or do the numbers above not add up to 361?
  23. Glad to see the bike has gone to another generation of happy little bikers!
  24. Hi Hubbers Headed to Bonnievale area for the long weekend. Taking the MTB along of course. Have done some casual googling between meetings at the office today but not finding much about trails or routes in the area. Montague features but even there I am not finding a lot in the way of GPX files. Can anyone point me in the right direction so to speak? :-) Thanks! Mike
