  1. Nice, money eating machines indeed but the joy is always in seeing the finally restored product.
  2. Very cool bike, looks in mint condition.
  3. Collected my tyres today from the Post Office, so about 10 weeks. Still these Amber wall tyres that I could not find locally look great on my vintage Bianchi so worth the wait.
  4. Nothing to do with the crank, but my son and I just canned ourselves laughing at your quote.
  5. Respect, my big one at back is a 23.
  6. Nice, I was considering taking the old Bianchi on the Argus light but was a bit worried about climbing Eidenburgh on the seven speed.
  7. I was at the expo just after opening this morning and there was a good vibe and plenty of people rolling in early. From a personal point I agree that the guys from the nutrition stalls will probably take a knock, I bought nothing from them this year, a bottle of energy drink is more than enough for 47 kms as far as I am concerned.
  8. What a treasure, very nice find.
  9. Ordered two tyres, dispatched on 6 January 2015 (Day after order) by normal mail and still waiting. According to our local Post Office there is still a backlog at the JHB depot. According to CRC's website it normally takes 4-8 working days with normal mail to SA, but clearly not with our current Post Office problems.
  10. PM sent with my number.
  11. Is this the allen key one or the older one with nut and bolt. I have the allen key version from an old Peugeot Rapport that you are welcome to have if this is what you after. I am in Parklands.
  12. Nice, very rare did you pick the frame up locally?
  13. Here is my Bianchi Mondiale 1987/88. It is now fitted with a 1st Generation Campagnolo Athena group. The rims are Mavic with Shimano 105 hubs. Cinelli handlebar and stem and a Selle San Marco Rolls saddle. The frame has some paint chippings, but is in good overall condition so I decided not to do a full restoration of the frame.
  14. My son's single speed Bianchi completed. The frame is an original 1988/89 Bianchi Mondiale with Columbus SLX tubing. I transferred the original Campagnolo Athena group to my other Bianchi SL as this frame is to small for me. Excuse the padded seat cover and lock my son is a student. There is a beautiful vintage leather seat under the cover.
  15. Very nice, wouldn't mind those hubs on my Bianchi.
  16. Anybody here know what type of seat this old brown vintage is. Comes off a vintage Bianchi, but the name plate at the back is missing.
  17. Never posted here before so hope I am in the correct forum. I have a Bianchi Mondiale with SL tubing. I bought it with a mixture of components, Shimano Sora, Shimano 600 & 105. According to Rob from Velo the Columbus SL is slightly more robust than the SLX. So today I picked up a SLX with a full Campagnolo group. Unfortunately the frame is to small for me so the Campy group will be transferred to the SL. Some pictures attached.
  18. That is a seriously cool bike. Your missus is one very lucky lady!
  19. Police
  20. Some marketing in the Northern Cape, Limpopo, Eastern Cape et al required.
  21. Those Colnago's are super cool.
