The one thing that I do take from this is: life can really be this short...for anyone of us.
  2. unfortunately it doesn't work like that - only the Lab in Bloem can be used for testing in SA - those are the rules

  5. My point exactly, if we think this represent cycling in SA we're dreaming...
  6. I saw this on the CSA website this morning. These were the riders tested at SA's. My question is: I suppose these were randomly selected, but why were no podium finishers tested (with the exception of Jnr Women) and no u/23's or elite ladies? And we want to clean up the sport, then this doesn't add up in view. <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />W Serfontein - Vet 30-34 (10th) D O'Reilly - Vet 30-34 (6th) C Steyn - Junior Women (7th) E Lezzi - Vet Women (actually vet men 40 ? 44 ; 12th) P Kemp - Vet 40-44 (5th) E Visagie - Junior Women (2nd) R Janse van Rensburg - Junior Men (5th) P Botha - Junior Men (25th) N White ? Ryan has always been one of my favourite SA riders...hope and pray he makes a full recovery. Get well soon !!
  8. Wasn's surprised or shocked about the others, expected that...but a small (and maybe naief) part of me hoped that BLW would make it to the end of the Tour with-out something like this Would be a tiiny bit dissapointed if it turns out to be Soler...
  9. I've agreed not to talk about drugs anymore
  10. Just received these pic's from Dept of Water Affairs....CT is WET....
  11. ja well LeMond ain't too popular for all the stuff he says in the press seems to be throwing very beeeg rocks for a dude living a a class house
  12. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2007/jul07/jul27news3 Interesting what LeMond had to say in the news today: LeMond insisted that the riders know very well who dopes and who doesn't, suggesting that "it's obvious there are still dopers in the peloton." He explained that Contador weighs the same as Rasmussen, and both climbed at the same speed as Pantani. "That's sufficient for the red flag to come up." He also reminded us that Contador's name came up in connection with Operaci?n Puerto, but was cleared after the 2006 Tour. "I am not pointing the finger at him [Contador]. I am simply saying if Rasmussen got caught then we also need to have a very close look at his competitors." LeMond suggested the reason riders still dope is that "if you look closely, very few riders get caught, actually," adding that no rider is controlled right before the start of a stage.
  13. ja ek stem...ek het 'n foto van Hunter's se stage wen as desktop background en een van die ou suur rugby manne hier het my gister dieselfde storie ge-spin.... not fair, ek ry nie die damn tour nie
  14. If MTN pulls out now cycling in SA is screwed...big time
  15. I'll never condone doping....but, I can understand why riders like Vino and co decide to follow that route....
  16. hhhmm, I see a hugh law suit coming here.... The danish fed said that Theo de Rooy had all the e-mail correspondence on his desk sent by them in June...regarding Rasmussens "missing in action" dope tests so something ain't too lekker here....
  17. very valid...Chris Fisher said yesterday the past 2 and half weeks of TBW in the Tour already Barloworld made back what they spent over the last 5 years... talk about a good return on your investment
  18. You can watch the Tour 10 years from now and everyone will STILL be doping... just like 10 years before
