  1. I agree, Scott Sunderland is doing a good job at the Giro as D/S for CSC can't see why he can't do the same at TdF. If memory serves me correctly it took Richard Virenque more than two years to come clean after the Festina debacle in 1998. I think its a question of lying to them selves (and others) for so long, they start believing those lies... but the past is the past, can't be undone. However I still believe riders still dope even as we speak and always will, but the playing flied with DNA testing is just a little more even right now.
  2. Good Q, I think many of the TVM riders of old have already been caught out. I wonder if Ivan Basso phoned Riis last week...the conversation must have been like this: "you you you SOB; you hypocrate ...." or something like
  3. Would love to do it again. About 10 years ago I worked in the CBD of C/T and commuted between Brackenfell and C/T on a daily basis (ja ja crazy woman all by myself). Left me with ? 90 odd kms a day. I miss that. Made a huge difference in my racing as well. Now I work in a indrustial area - wouldn't consider it now at all. And the fact that we don't have showers at work
  4. here we go again....
  5. Never thought I'd say this: but I REALY miss Paddy Agnew...
  6. Why??? Who's going be left to race Pro tour ??? Only necessary when they get caught...otherwise it's "business" as usual.
  7. No Rodger, I'm afraid that there are no Vets Tours scheduled for 2007. Due to various sponsors withdrawing etc. Hopefully there will be more (or some) Vets Tours next year.
  8. So Marius & Poison Ivy..... Why were you not at the PPA feedback meeting last night to voice your opinion and your concerns / greviances? As stated on the PPA website: "At this meeting' date=' the ExCo will give some feedback on their portfolio's" (amongst other things). At the end of the day, the PPA should be run by its members, but only those that bother to get involved will have to opportunity to make any difference. As was inevitable, the white line rule came under much discussion, so if you were there, you could have voiced your concerns. Who knows, you might even have had the opportunity to do some recruitment for your "League riders union" Just for the record, I was also DQ'd at Malmesbury, and I'm also upset that I still dont know where and when it happened, but rather than moaning and bitching about it, I'm trying to give my input in finding a solution to fine tune the implementation of the white line rule.[/quote'] Thanks for the lession WW.... will keep this in mind next time I'm bitching and moaning for the future of cycling
  9. in the absence of broadband you can always check out www.cyclingnews.com there is good live coverage on there as well
  10. Sorry Marius, I'm also still in the dark as to who all the riders were. I'm only aware of the first 3. The rest is still a mystery.
  11. When asked for a race report I received the following this morning. I'm now very confused here. A meeting will take place in the near future (before Mykonos) with the officials, where issues raised around the Malmesbury event will be discussed. Kind regards Karin
  12. So Willpower, how are you feeling after your Wednesday-crash? Really a big pity, will you be OK for next week's league
