  1. He looked more at home in the middle order. Perhaps our Captain should step up and open with Elgar.
  2. If we had another opener there I'd give him a run ahead of van Zyl as well. Villas looked out of sorts. I'd have QdK at 6 and behind the stumps if I had my way.
  3. Indeed... i fear that chasing anything about 200 on this wicket is going to be a bridge too far. Villas may not get an extended run if he fails in the second innings. My 11 for the next game: 1. Elgar 2. van Zyl 3. du Plessis 4. Amla 5. Bavuma 6. AB (wk) 7. JP 8. Steyn 9. Harmer 10. Morkel 11. Tahir
  4. being "clean" is all relative... imagine what would come out of the woodwork when you re-test the 2015 TdF samples in 5 years time with newer testing tech...
  5. Lets see how he likes looking over his shoulder every time he steps out of his house. He's going to get tested before, during and after events throughout his riding career more so than athletes with no dodgy saddle sores.
  6. Oy Vey... first Boy George gets moered for coming out of the closet, then Brandon Stew got klapped for what was a way better excuse than Rouke. It seems like the sun will rise in the west at some stage...
  7. http://wines2whales.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/W2W-Adventure-Results-Team_final-2015.pdf Have you refreshed your browser in the last 2 years?
  8. Like this?
  9. The test series is going to be epic.
  10. What have I missed? See, thats why one should not be forced into a Friday deadline...
  11. Old account that I had de activated somehow re activated. Nowhere to delete the account, so I changed the email address. I'm guessing that my email address caused some conflict and switched accounts automatically while using tapatalk. It annoyed me to no end and after asking admin to delete the old account some months back (when the Oom and a few others were posting from phantom accoubts) I just decided to change the email address and carry on.
  12. Its difficult to make a direct comparison as I changed rubber as well. The stiffness everyone refers to is noticeable, making for precise and confident steering, braking and acceleration. I'm not doing any Jonkers double black gap jumps on then anytime soon though.
  13. ... you're welcome. And if you buy an Anthem, you'll definitely need a spare bike for when it goes in for a frame replacement when a crack appears on the joint between the seat tube and top tube.
  14. I love my Stumpy, no doubt. Does that mean that no one else comes close? I think not. Just because the Stumpy was my choice in 2013, does not mean that I am not open to other players in the same field. I would love a second bottle cage to be fitted on the frame for instance. Even if it is just for the 2 or 3 stage races I do a year. The other +- 330 days a year I don't mind slapping on my Camelbak, and no - I don't want a Specialized Epic, thank you.
  15. but does it define me? I hope not. The Pyga also looks like a really good bike.
  16. It's posts like these that tempts me into selling my stumpy and buying a no-name brand chinarello. What a dof argument...
  17. It's hotting up, particularly in the Ladies race. Lets see what happens on Swartberg today
  18. I like him too. Lets hope the jet lag is not too bad. Looked in good nick in the domestic ODI's
  19. With JP Duminy ruled out of the last 2 ODI's it creates a bit of a conundrum for the final 2 ODI's. Morkel is also struggling with an injury, but should be fit. So who do we play in the injured Duminy's place: 1. Dean Elgar to strengthen our batting. He could be good for an over or 2 as well 2. Chris Morris, to strengthen the bowling, who can hit a long ball or 2 as well? He will also be quite familiar with the playing conditions in Chennai. 3. Phangiso, to give us another spin-option? Or do we go with a combination of Elgar and either Morris / Phangiso and drop Miller?
  20. Upgraded the wheels to Corse Carbon rims on my original Roval Hubs. Muchly excited for tomorrow's ride.
  21. Professionals have nutrition sponsors, and good ones get invited to ride. No sir, this competition is aimed at the over achiever Headboy/girl / CEO type that ling for bragging rights.
  22. The "mercenaries" that has done a few, are training anyway and pick up entries for next-to-nothing are certainly out there. I can't see a first-timer being ready in less than 2 months, unless the plan is to pick up another teams entry closer to the time. A better marketing campaign would have been to launch some sort of competition during this year's event and the winning team gets a free ride next year.
  23. You can't do more than a * next to your name. Miller and Behardien should have put their hands up today.
