  8. I am converting a roadie frame into a single speed commuter. I have been been given a Shimano MTB crankset for free. But now I am confused as to which BB to put on the bike. Do I put on a MTB BB and the put the spacers on the frame side? Or do I put on a road BB to fit the frame and then put the spacers on the crank side (outside) of the BB? Have I made a boobie by having to choose a BB? PS: if anyone knows where I can get a set of FREE road brake callipers you would rock a lot!
  9. There definitely is a period of time that it takes to get used to them... Most of us took a little longer than ten minutes to learn to ride a bike in the first place. According to some sources, they reckon about 2 to 3 one hour rides and you wont even know you are riding them....until you see your increased available wattage at threshold that is...
  10. I am putting them onto my bike after the Argus... Old guru saying: "Don't change anything before race day..."
  11. Chris Froome raves about them and doesn't leave home without them on his bike. These double-cammed oddities are not without controversy. Minimal gains for maximal battling with fitment? Who has tried them? Would you? Thoughts?
  12. I have a bruise from issuing the necessary from #62...
  13. The last time I checked, the commuting worker couldn't afford weeks in a hospital either. Some sort of protection for the pip, even those GAME helmets which are so often worn back to front, are better than nothing...
