    Thanks, Awesme. I know what you're saying. It seems like a sticky situation for all concerned. I'll stick to my bicycle and pedal it hard after work this evening :-)

    If I buy a BMW, I complain at the BMW dealership. I can't complain at the Head Office in Munich. The Dealer is where my money went to. The warranty is honoured through the dealer and manufacturer. And that is how I read the warranty conditions that was posted here. Who was the LBS that was concerned? Surely some of the blame/flaming should go their side for this? The LBS is the one that should work for the customer in these matters, solve it with the manufacturer. Well, that is my understanding.

    I have always worked through my LBS to solve my bike problems. I'm on my third Momsen now. No big dramas for me. all bikes have issues: I have previously had Trek, Scott, Fuji, Specialized, Giant and now onto Momsens. Difficult to understand what is the main problems here, but whatever it is I hope you have a bike again for the Karoo to Coast. I have a Medium AL829. So, I don't think it would fit you or I would have offered my bike to you, Slakke3, even though I don't even know you. It is not fun to sit out a race that you have invested in so much of your time and money.

    DHL are not my favourite company for imports. There are many more better ones. Also, avoid FedEx.

    Glad it is sorted. I have had it before, but it was not the problem... I had slightly slightly loose water bottle bolts that "echoed" through the bike when braking. Solved after WEEKS of searching and trying to fix the pads.

    Marketing, marketing, marketing... Sponsors are ONLY interested in return on investment and brand exposure. I work in marketing fields, and I have dealt with corporate sponsorships for 5 years. With the current recession knocking businesses, you need to do even more to be noticed. In Sports, an ROI of 3:1 ratio (a return of 4 times the investment) is a minimum. That is a BIG ask to achieve. I would suggest starting a team, and spread the costs. That way you are also able to offer more to a sponsor. Best of luck!!
