  1. must say...I'm paranoid about front washing out at speed & cornering... since my Scwalbe Hans dampf snakeskin 2.35 up front...that worry has been elliminated!! :thumbup:
  2. aaah..the Rat strikes again! Lekka report...
  3. I'm REALLY in the market for one of these..price is great as well! Does Anyone have some feedback / experience with the Forca (non hydraulic) system,? My reasoning - it seems a very simple design and easy to maintain...i.e. no leaks; no seals etc.
  4. There NOTHING like this for creating a demand...and then some {even largechainring is begging for a early bird entry???}
  5. Cassie

    Rugby...

    Bismarck...Bismarck...Bismarck...tsk tsk tsk... how do you explain that one away???
  6. I just love the insider's take on everything...from the tented village life to the mundane tasks of prepping and repairing!! Keep on writing - I'll keep on reading!!
  7. I think it might have to do with unstability of the soils ...now that the roots that kept it intact are not there anymore? IF we get hard rains anytime soon...it will be bad...soft, penetrating rain is what is needed...not a huge storm 9whicg is more leikely nowadays with climate being so upset!0
  8. I'm in the market for 1 x bib & 1 x lekka cycle shirt.... I'll also try to grip the Ccard tight and not splurge on too much other stuff... Question - do I go spesifically to the expo to purchase this? any good suggestions? I've got a CWC bib and is suitably impressed... I do not want to pull trigger on Assos top of the range bib, but also not the bottom of the range either! (my other bib is a Santini one...and it's really great! But not really R900 difference great!! i cannot see any differences between the two...(R900 vs R1800)
  9. Yup, just that...the "authorities" most likely had the last say in the matter...it's not like the Tour organisers are a law upon themselves?
  10. AND you can have it ALL to yourself!! everyone s'posed to be at the "Argust"... but ssshhh...it's a secret... :ph34r:
  11. Sven, absolute bolloks!! Please reread you statement and THINK about it... {shakin head in disbelief!!}
  12. JA, i gathered! I'm many, many pages behind!! (saw his disclaimer)...not too worry ...he'll bounce back!
  13. Essentially cyclist and spectators whou would have spend 5-6 hours along the route... are now finished in 2 hours max.... NOT TO MENTION - there will be basically one continious group....imagaine all the crossed wheels, bumping into each other, and related crashes that will ensue....I think it will be a VERY different ride this year
  14. Me thinks it not so much the tour trust as the greater powers to be that has "forced" the organisers into this "cop out"...when emergency services speaks - you HAVE to listen!!
  15. hey Slowman! You've always been a sound, reasonalble voice of reason... amids some very heated debates ...this time?...eish! Me thinks you are emotional and haven't thought it through properly? Do you not for one minute think that the tour organisers would have done EVERYTHING within their powers to save the race? KNOWING what is at stake? What would your response have been if they simply called it off? That would have been a "cop out"... It's only a timed funride at best, in any event...
