Thanks man, appreciate it! I think everyone was hurting, we were in a group of masochists hey! I don't know how those DL guys did it, but only 1 managed to hang on to the end, so I think some of them paid for it. Congrats on the time though, still a good outing in the conditions and with the group you were in. The guy who won was a beast, I couldn't get past him in the end. He probably didn't even notice me trying to sprint against him, haha. Yeah, that was me. And my mates trying to embarrass me as they do.

Thanks for an awesome race Gerald, was great meeting you as well! Had a great race in the CL bunch, made the split and somehow managed to hold out to the end. First sub-3 and first podium for me, so I was properly chuffed The wind was hectic though, thanks to everyone who contributed to pulling on the front. There was a guy from DL who stayed with us, man you were strong RIP to the rider who passed away.

I was there last year with the final stage in Kigali. My man, those crowds were insane! Saffas enjoyed the odd "trap hom boet" thrown into the mix, haha. Best part was, not even a proper rain shower could disperse the crowds, the finish line was packed. Lekker gees and I feel very fortunate to have experienced that.

Had a lekker day out, missed my sub-3 by 4 seconds (darnit!) Had a number of strong okes helping in the front DL group, thanks for the help gents (especially the VA guy, man you were strong)! Caught up with a mix of AM and CL peeps on the better side of Hekpoort, thanks for the help over the last few bumps, I was dying at the end of the race. Now for Carnival Edit: Strong oke was VA, bleeding through my eyes has altered my memory slightly

Awesome! Been wanting to try out some crit racing for some time now Can't the line entry time be extended? I see open only starts at 16:15, so do I need to go there at 12, enter, and chill there for 4 hours? Don't mind watching some of the racing, but not everyone would want to chill there the whole day...

Read that Meintjes will most probably be following Copeland to the new team.
