  1. Expecting a good turnout this year...only possible thanks to our sponsors https://www.instagram.com/p/CfsxXvUKhlp/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  2. Definitely E-bikes, with options for Full or Lite. It's one open category, so no age separation. The only requirement is that you're 19+ years old (according to CSA rules) and that you have/get a CSA annual membership.
  3. Thanks man. I spend waaay too much time every year trying to add something new, to keep the race exciting. There's still work to be done on a safety balustrade for that dam wall crossing, but nonetheless it turned out really lekker and it's going to be sick to race.
  4. There's a fresh new trail that has popped up for this year's race...#Squamish Duly named because of the steep rock slabs that drop off the riders right of the trail. Check out the POV: https://www.instagram.com/p/CfJa-cDq3rt/

  7. Do you still own a trail bike? Or you going to do it on the gravel bike this year? 🤣
  8. The online entries should be up and running within the next week. I'll post a link here when it's open. Last year we only had 26km and 1100m climbing, but somehow that last climb was still a struggle. This year will be similar.
  9. Make sure you're in George for the Witfontein Enduro 2022, over the long weekend of the 6-9th of August. This will be the third stop of the SA National Enduro Cup Series. It's going to be a good one!
  10. https://gadgetsandwearables.com/2021/10/09/apple-watch-series-7-vs-garmin-fenix-6/
  11. Wife uses the Apple Watch series 7 with cellular, so that she can leave her phone at home while training. I'm leaning towards the Garmin Instinct Solar, coming from a Suunto Spartan Trainer.
  12. Sorry 🤦‍♂️ I didn't read the question carefully and didn't realise it was still linked to the previous queries. I assumed the 'device' in question was a second Apple Watch. You can absolutely boost a fitness watch while the Apple Watch benefit is active. They're separate benefits.
  13. From the benefit guide: https://www.discovery.co.za/discovery_coza/web/linked_content/pdfs/vitality/apple_watch/apple_watch_with_vitality_active_rewards_benefit_guide_final_oct21.pdf
  14. You can't do the watch and the Nike gear at the same time. You'll redeem your voucher for the 60% off the first R4000 of the watch now, then work for almost 6 months to get back up to 60% off the Nike gear.
  15. I have a home loan with Standard Bank and their R4.95c bank account. You don't need to open a cheque account with Discovery to get the credit card. You can get it on it's own.
  16. I only have the life insurance, with vitality linked to that...and then a Discovery Bank credit card. With all purchases made using the credit card, I get more than R1000 worth of discovery miles per month, plus a bunch of other discounts.
  17. Thanks guys, I found it. I was looking under the Sportsmans Warehouse section, instead of the "Top Deals: Summer Shake-up".
  18. They must have forgotten a zero, and removed it pretty quickly. It's not available anymore.
  19. Thanks dude. It was a good 5km less distance and 200m less climbing than last years race. It was the heat that was not so kind on us. My wife recorded 35°C when she packed up the water table at 12.
  20. Stoked to have been able to build new sections to include some proper gnar this year. Hopefully by next year we'll build one more, to tip the gradient just a bit deeper into the negative numbers.
  21. I saw you just chilling and flowing nicely on SP1 (4th stage of the day). Loam Exravaganza 4.0?
  22. Nice ???? go scope those fresh trails.
  23. Bring that stoke here ???? Try check out the top of SP5 as well. Your day pass for the trails was included in your entry fee, CSA will be charging R40 for a day license (cash only.)
