  1. Thanks! I guess I'll take it off before each wash.
  2. Are Garmin's speed/cadence sensors waterproof? Do you take it off each time you wash your bike or do you just leave it on? Thanks
  3. Thanks for all the replies. We managed to change 2 things and I feel much better today than the previous 2 Fridays. 1.) We only ride 4 times a week (will up it to 5 times from April) 2.) We ride slower (HR Zone 3.5-4.2)
  4. Peter from GPS Gadgets in Steenberg delivers a great service. My Forerunner 50 broke, since it was still under guarentee I took it to Peter. 4 weeks later he personally delivered a replacement to my office in the city. Thanks Peter! Nokia4me2010-02-24 07:10:26
  5. Thanks for the replies so far. To alternate hard days with easy ones might help. We are 3 MTB'ers and just go flat out every day (but by Friday that doesn't mean anything )
  6. Hi, in Jan I started cycling to work every second day (20km one way). Since last week we upped it to 5 days a week, but boy, on Thursdays I am barely hanging on and on Fridays I am only surviving I still have enough cardio/willpower/energy by the end of the week, but my legs are gone. This will hopefully improve over time, but I am considering getting a supplement to help my legs recover. There are a ton of products and I have never used any type of supplement before. Please let me know what I should go for. Maybe a recovery drink like USN Recover Max?
  7. LOL - everyone looks like a baddy in the ID photos. If Wouter is a bad kabouter then it would be great if he can be tracked down via www social networks.
  8. Remember firewolf they don't stay babies forever. I have 9 year old twin boys who started MTB'ing last year. I have even done a few 15km funrides with them and in the next few years we will be able do the more technical singletrack together. They can't wait and neither can I
  9. I did the 30km Mountain to Mountain race in October. It was a good race, well organized and attended. From what I recall there was not a lot of singletrack, some sections with loose sand and rocks, and if you are looking for a good workout there are lots of climbing to choose from.
  10. Werner, that was a great day, at least the 14km was a good ride and the 2 Great Danes that followed us would not have made the 40 kms.
  11. Here's a link to an article summing up Burry's September: http://www.sascoc.co.za/2009/09/more-highs-than-low-for-world-champion-burry/ Enjoy your 2 week break
  12. I am new to MTBing and have only been to Tokai twice, but I thought you use the road to go up and the singletrack to go down? Using the singletrack to go up, especially on a busy Saturday morning, seems like flirting with disaster.
  13. I found more info, and 2 great pics on a german website. IT looks like the XC will be known as Zula (not to be confused by Zuma). The big surprise is that Morewood will also bring out a hardtail. The ht will be know as the Kwela. Check it out http://www.bike-magazin.de/?p=2658
  14. Great bike! I have the same one (XTC C0). Climbs like a goat.
  15. Hi Werner, she is a beut! Many happy trails. (morning bump)
  16. I agree Speedi, white is the new black How much does she weigh?
  17. Sorry my previous question was for Ciclismo
  18. Dyou have the N79 Active (that includes a polar heart rate monitor) or do you have a GPS enabled Nokia with sportstracker installed? If you have the N79 Active, then where did you buy it? I am trying to get my hands on one as well. And do you use a bike mount for your phone?
