    Is it a priority for them to be known as an "African" team? Just wondering. I mean they can still be involved with a good cause even if they are not an "African" team..... At the end of the day the best riders will have to get the contracts, African or not. I reckon they just play the "African team" card as long as they can because it carries some advertising weight (free extra tv coverage because shame, this is after all an African team). Next year there will be even less African riders and probably almost no SA riders. Would be great though if we can push through a good number of African (or SA) riders that make up a large nr of the team because they are the best available. I am not saying it is not the case now

    It's only the 4th of Jan! Still on holiday. The old system served me well so would not care much if it stayed the same to be honest

    Well this is great news! I actually live the "vitality lifestyle" as much I can. All my stuff are with them from insurance through to life cover. Just wish they can up the max fitness points you can earn per year

    Has the criteria changed then? I was under the impression 200points is the max you can earn on a activity if it is not a "race or an "event" then you can earn up to 3000 or 5000 points. This coincides with I earned points over that past few weeks. All my 3 to 5hr rides has been max 200points over the last few days

    I am with neither of those. Would actually like my bank and service provider to get more involved with our sport. They are doing a great job with their involvement at W2W.

    Very true! Cycling changed my life for the better at first. Became a bit of a unhealthy obsession later. Luckily got that under control and now I just cycle when and if I want to. Enjoy it even more now. I see that fine line in the workplace as well. Very fine line between loyalty and stupidity.....

    I was under the impression Kargo pulled from the sponsorship scene? Very happy though to see them invest in the sport. Wish them all the best for the season

    I think she would be a great asset for Specialized factory racing. Wonder why they don't consider signing her

    True to some extent but if you look at the top true contenders in the XC for men and woman the field for both is limited to about 4.

    In my opinion Rabie is probably the best rider in the country if you take the amount of training he puts in (not much at all I am made to believe) compared to the results he gets. Imagine if he actually starts training 10hr+ per week

    The borders between the 2 disciplines are not so obvious anymore. I reckon Schurter can win the epic with a strong partner any day. He was clearly the strongest rider 2 years ago. Same with Kulhavy. Well, Hermida will probably get podium as well if he does not pack bad luck like seems to be the case every year for him. I think Arianne might do well in XC and I am very sure Reid will do well in both disciplines

    Bought the same chainring about 2 weeks ago. Had a normal round 32T ring before. Feels like I am climbing more comfortable with the oval 34T than with the round 32T. Huge bonus is bigger top end speed on the flats as well. Best buy in a long time for me
