  1. Is there a dedicated website to this? Nobody really seems to know what's up?
  2. Yip! Reeds ingeskryf.
  3. Should at least break his jaw I find that the macho pricks who seeks confrontation with the cyclists and actually stop and jump out of their cars are totally on their back foot when you don't give them the chance to confront you first. As soon as he jumps out of his car start to take him on (not talking physically)
  4. I see entries close today. I am still not sure if I want to do this race or the road race in Stellenbosch on sunday. If I do decide to do this race later in week will there be late entries available? If so, how much would that be?
  5. Well done Nico! Ek is seker die A bunch het 'n riller pace nou dat daar nie 'n league afdeling is nie. As jy vlg keer wil chill moet jy daar in ons bunch kom hang. Pace is aansienlik stadiger
  6. Any idea where results can be found?
  7. Buddy of mine did it in 5h30. Said he could feel the lack of miles in his legs from the 80km mark. Where in the field would a time like this place him? Mid or back marker?
  8. With those rollers close to the start you will be sweating in no time Dale Having said that: I did the Java mtb race in Robertson couple of weeks ago and it was 2 degrees when race started. It is more or less in the same "valley" so I guess it will be chilly as hell at start
  9. Will be my 3rd or 4th year of not doing it and must say I am not missing it one bit Good luck to those doing the race
  10. Sien sondag! Lyk na mooi weer en basies geen wind (touch wood)
  11. Yes Dale! That yellow is like a tracer. No hiding in the bunch under radar
  12. Looking forward to the 1st fun ride of the "Spring"! Hope the new deep sections don't get damaged on the gravel road. Also hoping to at least hang in my start bunch till the finish. Anybody with info on the condition of the gravel section?
  13. When the wind blows in Worcester (every day) it is everything but fun
  14. Well it happens on flat, uphills and downhills. So consensus is I should change the chain 1st and not worry about the shadow + rd?
  15. XTR chain. Chainsuck happens at the crank and not rear derailer
  16. Full XTR groupset and I have 2 blades on crankset. So far only noticed it while I smaller chainring. Frame is Momsen team issue 929SL R type Groupset has less than 2000km on it
  17. Any news about event on 7th? Anybody here doing the race 7th and PPA race on the 8th?
  18. Exactly the lube I use in wet conditions. The groupset is only a couple of months old and I don't ride that much. Guess that takes out possible wear issue. I will check for bent teeth. When it is clean it spins nicely with no issues In shifting
  19. I get constant chainsuck when riding remotely wet trails. Either the chain gets pulled up to above chainstay or the chain drops between blade and chainstay. I ripped the metal piece on the frame in the crank area off while having these issues Will buying a shadow + rd solve this issue?
  20. Is this in the area of Ribera del Duero? It is basically between Madrid and Rioja on your way to Catalunya. I recognize the Bull on the hill. It is the logo of one of the biggest wine producers in Spain. Travelled that road in May. Love Spain
  21. Nino is in a technical class of his own. Probably the best tehnical rider ever in the sport. I reckon the Epic broke Kulhavy's season. My guess is he won't be back next year
  22. Have to admire the Chinese workmanship! Very nice bike sir! Trust she will give you many happy miles
  23. Its raining nice and hard here in Wellington. Can't remember when last I started a race in pouring rain. Will be everything but fun tomorrow morning
  24. I see CWC has the ultegra 6800 for R11500. CRC is R7660 odd so it will land below R9000. They don't have stock though but it sounds like a super price. I also checked the Force 22 and if you buy the separate parts from CRC it will probably land under R10 000 With the prices mentioned above is it really worthwhile buying the new DA or Red groupsets at double the price? Can the performance really be that much better? Would like your opinion mr Bear (and others)
  25. Wow! It is even compatible with my microwave
