  1. This is sad!
  2. Are there live result updates like the epic had?
  3. Sien jou vlg nwk Nico. Sien baie uit na jou race
  4. Good luck to all doing the race!
  5. Also a good point! Let's hope the "cycling gods" favor this youngster
  6. Beteken dit ek kan nie meer my bikes saambring Vredendal toe nie? Dit beteken dan ook dan Michelle nie meer so gereeld haar ouers gaan sien nie
  7. I'm sorry but if his decision to sign is based on an emotional "thank you" then his international career will probably end with MTN as well
  8. You could also argue that the quicker he is sucked into a real euro pro setup the quicker the transition will be. The only way he will fade in a euro team is if he lacks mental capability. Something I thing this youngster has.
  9. Someone we can get excited about! Do you guys think it was a good choice to extend contract? I reckon he would have received an offer from bigger pro tour team anyway
  10. Have you done the trails around Wellington with the 34 and 11/36 setup? Have never been to Tokai so have no reference for it.
  11. It is clear that this merchandise is the property of Craft and they could not give 2 ****s about an exclusive club. Can't blame them to be honest. The epic event owner/holding company should have bought this stock from Craft. I'm sure Craft would have given them a good deal just to recover costs. Because of blatantly being "ingat" (referring to epic) they caused an entire new problem and screwed up something "cool" in the process I blame Vermaak
  12. Did you do the conversion on cassette or are you on 11/36?
  13. Agree with you! The euro pro riders operate at different level. So what if you finished the tdf or giro. In their world it is not a big deal. For the rest of dust feeders (I am generalizing) at the bottom it is more about the bragging rights than the actual accomplishment. You are proud about your accomplishment but it is equally important that people know about it...............sort of mentality
  14. I'm about where you are with regards to the info you mentioned. I am convinced that it is worthwhile doing the conversion. I just don't think 32t front and 11/36 will cut it in a few areas I ride frequently. When Evo gets stock I will make conversion immediately. I will also get a 34t front blade for the odd road type mtb races. As you get stronger you will probably ditch the 32t anyway. But let's not jump the gun. I will see how the 32, 11/42 work for me Don't think you will spare too much (if any) in terms of weight. The simplicity and lack of potential derailer issues (which I always suffer in wetter conditions) is the selling point for me
  15. Unfortunately it is also the hell and back
  16. I might as well have read a list of names from another country. Don't know 90%+ of them. The fact that CSA is there just tells me these awards can't be taken seriously
  17. According to yr.no the wind looks much better for sunday and no chance of rain
  18. That's easy! He would start and pull out halfway blaming it on something.
  19. You funny Dale
  20. I am waiting for Evobikes to get stock of the General lee adapters for shimano. There is no way I will be able to ride all the terrain in my surroundings with a 32 up front and a 11/36 at the back. I will get an additional 34t blade for races such as karoo to coast or 7 weekspoort
  21. Who wants a amapussy shirt anyway? I say give them away for free to the less fortunate living on the streets. Craft wants to make a statement anyway so at least make that statement while making a difference
  22. Tentatively made up my mind to rather put in a quality training week and skip this race. Racing the following 2 wknds anyway so all is good
  23. Forecast shows winds picking up (even more) around Stellenbosch and some potential showers thrown in there for good measure
  24. It is a new company started by Shan and another guy. They import from various suppliers in China. Some cool products and a clothing range of exceptional quality at a great price
  25. Only in SA Helshoogte and Bothmaskop are considered climbs
