When there's rocks the size of Hippos in and around the single track, like at Howick.. then straight after some of those rocks you have your trees that are a meter apart from each other.. which equals out to Fruitloop wiping out about 5 times along the race , but I made sure my body took the damage instead of the bike..
Although I think I'll only be doing the 20km at Giba's birthday, cos that really just equals out to 40km in a normal race, and at my fitness level I sort of stick to the 40km's

The numbing feeling comes over about half the hand, from the pinky finger to the middle finger.. but thanks Matchstix, I will try all the options you've mentioned and see if it helps ..
Hi again people I'd just like to know if you guys experience the same problem when you ride sometimes.... Not only at yesterdays ride, but at other rides as well, I get this numbing feeling in my fingers and parts of my hands, and like yesterday my fingers were actually getting bloody sore.. any advice??
That Raleigh is a machine.... after Howick yesturday I couldn't believe how well a duel sus went.... goes like a freaking heat seaking rocket after it's target, like it's got a mind of it's own.... really really awesome bike, well worth the R14000 and not being rude but right now I think I'd be mad to ever go back to hard tail.
Yeah, from a review I read about the 'Goose where it got a 4.5/5 rating, the tyre tread is super fast, and awesome on dry terrain / gravel etc... but ridden in muddy or wet conditions, you'll find yourself slipping and sliding all over the place.
