  1. Just be careful of the older tyres, which were typically optimised to run on much narrower rims. Thus, those tyres tend to get squared off on wide rims. A good option is to look into the WT range from Maxxis. Perhaps a 2.6 Rekon up front and an Ardent Race at the back.
  2. AOS seems now to be fall completely outside of the MCU. The Snap will be ignored and it will now effectively exist in its own universe.
  3. Nope, social trip.
  4. Quorn is old guard 'meat replacement'. There's more sophisticated alternatives now. But honestly, Patch, the UK is an absolute mecca of vegan options, London in particular. In two weeks' time I'll be there for a short visit and it's on the to-do list to check out all the different grocers and see what they offer. You can also check out https://www.plantbasednews.org/ They're a UK based news website, so they're a good news source of all things vegan in the UK.
  5. Basically what the Dutch response says. Child neglect more than anything else. You can place a child on a poorly planned plant based diet and there'll be issues, same as with any other diet.
  6. I'm not a huge Quorn fan, although I haven't tried a lot of their products. Seeing as your in the UK, try some of Vivera's stuff. It's an NL brand, but they're all over the UK. Check this out too: https://youtu.be/9LKv0BLy99g They're launching soon it seems.
  7. Damned son, read the last paragraph again. Also Graham, it's not about you or those who have no issue with consuming animal products. It's about the animals who suffer at our hand for no reason. People need to look beyond themselves to understand that it is unnecessary to exploit these animals if there is no need to do so. Also: Consumer perception of organic food production and farm animal welfare Too many people consider organic and free range as indicators of animal welfare and thus assuage themselves of the guilt in that the animal 'had a good life'.
  8. Flex your Afrikaans a bit and read this (or just translate it):
  9. Are you asking me or telling me?
  10. “Free-range.” “Organic.” “Humane.” These labels exist solely to capitalize on your guilt and make you feel better—not the animals. Non-human animals are individuals who do not exist for our species regardless of how they are physically treated, and it’s that they are being used and exploited in the first place that is the underlying issue. ???? 11. Where'd you see this? Don't say Tesco.
  12. Shame man. Your daughter's had to watch 8 seasons of GoT sex scenes, sitting next to her dad? #awkward
  13. He's actually more focused on cellular agriculture, not plant-based meat. It'll definitely still be expensive at the moment. It's still being made in California and shipped to ZA. We have them here in Belgium too (in the 'meat' aisle nogal) and it's a bit more expensive than organic cow flesh. With Beyond Meat's killer IPO they should be able to ramp up production and there's even talk of a European facility, which should drive down the prices even more.
  14. If you want to dive into the topic even deeper, have a listen to this podcast: https://youtu.be/rE93wKm0Ok8 It's also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.

  17. This came to mind: Liberal Relieved He Never Has To Introspect Again After Assembling All The Correct Opinions MADISON, WI—Taking a moment to reflect on his hard-won personal accomplishment, area liberal Tom Hudson expressed relief Monday that he would never again have to engage in self-examination after finally assembling all the correct opinions. “It definitely wasn’t easy, but now that I have all the proper perspectives on the world all perfectly arranged inside of my head, I know I’ll never need to question my own thoughts, beliefs, or opinions ever again,” said Hudson, proudly recounting his previous efforts at researching all necessary sociopolitical issues, conducting a rigorous self-exploration to determine which of his behaviors were problematic or harmful, and finally achieving the proper balance of beliefs to ensure once and for all that he is an indisputably good person. “It’s such a huge weight off my shoulders. I never have to consider my place in society or my impact on the issues ever again now that I know exactly how to present myself as one of the good guys. This feels amazing.” Hudson was then immediately and savagely attacked by his fellow liberals, who insist that his current views are nowhere near progressive enough. https://local.theonion.com/liberal-relieved-he-never-has-to-introspect-again-after-1834720785?utm_content=Main&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_source=Twitter&utm_campaign=SF
  18. Unless anyone here has transitioned, the entire discussion will be premised on 2nd hand information, anecdote, recycled internet opinions and 'gut feel'.
