  1. Fake News! Where's the character's paunch hanging on the top tube?
  2. Once an arsehole...
  3. For all the UK hubbers: https://www.instagram.com/p/BzxixXuH2Og/
  4. I honestly also can't remember much of season 2. Season 3 is a tad better. The Russians add a little flavour to the story.
  5. I thought that scene was brilliant! https://youtu.be/O5HQ1sZseKg But, ja. Stranger Things have always been very heavy handed with the product placement.
  6. Didn't know this existed, but it seems interesting. The director in question's work is most definitely an acquired taste.
  7. Kind of annoying when you go for a run and your Garmin gives you this level of garbage GPS tracking:
  8. Being a Good Samaritan can be quite lucrative in SA...
  9. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
  10. And calling his 1:29 a 'catastrophic failure' is disrespectful to anyone who's ever blown out their knees and hips and spent hours and hours on their feet trying to hit that mark. Your position cuts both ways.
  11. I could, but I despise running with my phone. I never stray far from home, so don't really need it and record my runs with my Garmin. For a while I used AllToMp3, but it's performance was flaky at best and it would drop random mp3 ad files into the downloads, so I'm a bit wary of it now.
  12. You're really stretching. His whole 'with the right gearing' schtick is now disrespectful towards those who have everested? I thought millennials were the entitled ones.
  13. Quick question to the aficionados. Have anyone of you used or know of a program to download Spotify playlists to mp3? I'm not keen on buying dozens of albums or individual songs and would love to download my own playlists to stick on my running earphones.
  14. Relax. You're getting way to wound up about this. Is there a rule that one must only speak of everesting in hushed reverent tones? As to the next challenge, he ran a fast 1/2 with little training. I'll give him kudos for that! He committed to a tight timeline and went for it. Yes, he came up short, but that was always going to be the case, given his running experience. If he can build up his running conditioning, I have no doubt in my mind that he can run a 75min 1/2.
  15. Vegan Cyclist Wins Epic 6,800km Trans Am Bike Race - Setting New Record Abdullah Zeinab cycled across America in just 16 days, 9 hours, and 56 minutes - beating the previous record by more than 10 hours https://www.plantbasednews.org/post/vegan-cyclist-wins-epic-6-800km-trans-am-bike-race?utm_content=buffere15c9&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer&fbclid=IwAR3sfS3dhi8Qf24ckbMmk2agMbMUrfYIQwlkyFomD4EiZURXiMiUeg92zwU
  16. Good luck, then. I hope you smash it.
  17. Social media is a cancer. Giving platforms so that one nut (or is it airbag in this case) can try to out gimmick the next for 'followers'. SMH.
  18. Vegan ice cream is the ****! I make my own nice cream at home, using frozen bananas and plant milk/cream. So, so good! Chuck the bananas, milk/cream and flavourings (maple syrup/nuts/cocoa/whatever) in a processor and blend. Ben 'n Jerry's also have some pretty good vegan ice creams, if you want to try a store bought type.
  19. And so what if he did. How many people set targets and come up short? Do we rip all of them a new one? The only difference here is that Vanzweel makes his targets a very public effort and shoots really high.
  20. Watched Spider-Man: Far From Home last night. Will have to watch it a second time, but I'm leaning towards a strong 7, light 8. Consistently had a smile on my face and it really works as a teen dramedy dressed up as a Spider-Man flick. There's a few little plot points to nitpick, but it's overall a tight film and paced really well. Those post-credit scenes tho! There's two of them, so stay till right at the end.
  21. Honestly, I've yet to have a pair of shoes that still feel fresh after that kind of distance. Even if the sole is not run down, the midsole and cushioning starts to feel compressed.
  22. I doubt that these folks were running those times on this kind of mileage: I'm not defending this guy, but folks on here are making a mountain of a molehill. It was a challenge a friend set him, he v/blogged about it and gave it a damn good effort. That's it. I'm sure that most of the okes railing on the hub have yet to run a 1:30 half.
