  1. I can't open any of the pages. It seems to be a blank page. Entry page: About Page: Front Page:
  2. Buying. Thank you for the link.
  3. Unfortunately I have been bitten in the past by that surprise when they land. Almost sent the package back.
  4. They are a UK company. I was wanting we featured 4 way stretch shorts & their tops seem to be pretty light weight & good for our summers so I took a gamble on them. Birthday is coming so is a present from me to me & family members are coming back from visiting expats in Scotland so can bring over. It's a shame that not many manufacturers really put thought into jerseys and shorts & just do the same thing over and over again.
  5. Went looking for new shorts yesterday and only ones I could find that were near a decent quality (Leatt) were nearly R2500 odd. So went for online and got a new wardrobe that is way better quality for less thanks to Flare Co and a few sale items.
  6. This isn't the Enduro dates is it?
  7. Recent review quote "We originally thought these tires were terrible at rolling. We’d like to amend that: the Maxxis Assegai tires are the slowest rolling tires we have used other than a full-on mud spike on a downhill bike." I was thinking about this but a 1300gm DH cased tyre for one or 2 enduro's this year but with those rolling characteristics it looks like I would be peddling down the 'dh' tracks locally. Maybe a trail / enduro verson could be in the future using the key features?
  8. That is great. If the tool already has a QL tool on it then no need. I was looking at the Wolf Tool one and it's R450 as it is. For the extra money the EDC cut's down the kit in the pack, is good value and doesn't leaving me swearing at QL's. Never managed to get the shoelace trick working or the wire trick but have on occasion got the dummy spit, massage swearing and roll home with no chain trick perfected.
  9. Thought this might help turn that frown up side down.
  10. I didn't realise that there was a QL breaker in the original one. That is very nice. This was the thing I recently saw from the SeaOtter coverage. If so then what will replace the in tool QL remover?
  11. I'm looking for one as well. Apparently the new versions come with a quick link tool like the Wolftooth one but none of the places I'm looking at online can tell me if it's the new version or the old version.
  12. and contender for the worst video for a bike release ever.
  13. Time to sell a kidney. Mondraker Foxy Carbon 29.
  14. They should be pretty amazing. How much are they? From what I've read the standard ones with 2 callipers were beefy enough for Finn lies, Atwell and Payet to be ridden on the DH WC last year.
  15. I have and that comment at the very bottom was to do with some other conversation I've over heard from riders in Tokai, TB and others. Not specifically centred on comments in this thread and the comments in it. I have also seen a quite a few comments on other threads raising concerns about being used on Single Track and objections around that. As for this thread there are a few objectors in the 36 pages even as early as t page 1 with Mr Booth.
  16. Went for a spin in Tokai this evening and got lapped by a guy on a Spez' ebike. Had a coil shock on the back and Fox 36 up front. The way he shot up the climb from the bottom of vasbyt was pretty incredible. Honestly by the time I was peddling towards the bottom of AM he was just finishing that run. Had a chat to him briefly and he'd nailed a hell of a lot of loops already in a frankly tiny time on the mountain. Seems he came from a MX background so the weight and different feel was no big deal and seems the stably was incredible. It made me think different about their uses and not just for old guys who need a bit of help. It seems a good solution to get more rides in. I'm focused on going down mountains and to be honest I'm pretty 'meh' about the slog up to the trail head (heresy I know. Earn your downs blah, blah). If I can nail 3 or 4 sessions on a ride compared to the one loop under my own power then I'd put my hand up and say it's something i'd be interested. With more core brands now having a ebike in their line up and more development happening it's going to be pretty interesting in the next few years. It's a bike. With a battery. I can't see what people would be getting angry and indignant about. Ride what you ride.
  17. The base M10 is around the R70K mark here, and R66k in europe.
  18. Budget for a water stop?? Seriously, I'll fill 3 x 25l barrels, bring a tap and a table. stick them half way round and it's done. How much budget is needed for that.
  19. I'm in the same boat. Been sick as a pig and 3 weeks totally broken as a result, a week wiped out before that due to work so I'm guessing the fitness and the lungs which are sticking together with gunk have pretty much written off my event. What's the weather forecast? Last I saw it was raining with some rain on top. Who do we contact to help out?
  20. And now they are shipping the Grip 1 into the new range of Marzo Bombers. The new Grip 2 has all the bells and whistles with HSC LSC HSR LSR etc as opposed to HSC and LSC.
  21. Locally these aren't too badly priced considering what you get. I'm posting the base one rather than the 'ooohhhh porny' one because you get a fair but for the money and it's vaguely affordable. It's carbon, it's 29 and it's cocked.
  22. Meta Am. 29er. Nice.
  23. Apparently they don't have a local agent. You can order directly from them @ R1300 for the pack and then $50 postage (R600) then have the joy of customs, vat and duties. Not exactly worth it despite being a good solution for bigger rides and races. They have distribution in the UK and Australia. I'm sure they could try a bit harder on the shipping costs as $50 flat fee seem pretty expensive. It's a light item and that is for a postal service not even a UPS / DHL service
