  1. I wonder who is going to post the first Offering?
  2. Guy Kes' seems pretty impressed.
  3. I've never really wanted a SC but I REALLY want that.
  4. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/video-dylan-siggers-fly-ride--mtb-x-fpv-drone.html Great use of drones following riders.
  5. Double Hawt
  6. Bibi, do you / Evil SA have Demo bikes? I have a friend wanting to test a medium following.
  7. As per the OPs terms, this is still a great segment of a crazy race with features of some very dodgy fashions, MR Minn dubious hair choices and Needles looking like a child.
  8. This doesn't make me want to ride. In fact it made my nought pucker up because if it looks step on camera it's going to be crazy. He may sound like a muppet who has inhaled a helium ballon but there is no doubting his rocks.
  9. That hurts my eyes and scrambles my pea brain all at once.
  10. or go old style and get a selection of flex stems to suit the category. Nice coil one for the #enduro days in the middle.
  11. is it open yet?
  12. Such a great looking Ti hardtail. Yours for only £600 here. I wish I had the money. https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2395042/ Edit: Now it's yours for £800 as he upped the price from earlier. New you can get them for £999 Another Edit: Now it's £750. It must be a wheel of fortune pricing.
  13. TBH CRC are very good with sorting warranty issues from abroad. I think of it as a buy direct model like YT just with longer to post it. The shock is available locally and you can always persuade the international / local guys to do the work here. The Frame is alu as GM said and in all my years of riding I've never had an issue with a carbon or metal frame new or second hand so I've never really thought about it that side of things. I imagine that if something does fail then I might curse my self alot though.
  14. The only situation that that owning a ribbon that you've never ridden could be a bad thing.
  15. My Ribbon is a 29'r and the Vitus is a 650b. A ribbon would be amazing on that and the one 170 fork I'd be ecstatic about putting up the front. Just been checking their builds on this frame and they also spec a 160mm fork on some models so that allows for pike and Manitou and the Mattocs are on special at CRC as well at the moment.
  16. I was surprised it was their current version that was at such a good discount. Not sure what fork, I have a riibbon that I can sell to a friend so I guess it is the usual options. Pike / MRP / 36 / Ohlins / Formula but I have been following a recent thread and I might see what the max travel a Manitou goes to (160mm I think) or how much the new Marzocchi Z1s are. I think a Pike might be the best option as there are alot of them starting to come up second hand at decent prices and the charger 1s are being run out quite low as well. Shame the frame didn't come up before CRC were selling the 36's @ 55% off last week. Looking at what little reviews I could find it seems it's on the trail AM / Enduro use rather than the pure race enduro which is even better for my riding.
  17. After a few options, lots of decisions and much discussion I finally bought a replacement frame. 170 up front / 160 rear, RS super deluxe, 50% off. Thanks CRC.
  18. I'm holding my money until the motor powered penny farthing gets the green light. Monster truck of note on the trails.
  19. I doubt my body will be ready by then.
  20. R38,000 & a very confusing website. Everything seems to be called M01 or M02 and very different bikes. This one has a full build kit listed but the price is for the frame only. https://cycles.peugeot.com/mountain/mountain/m01-fs-cadre-montage-carte
  21. Crazy bike. Crazy riding. From 4 minutes in they are riding this at the 'Ard Rock Enduro.
  22. It's a great bike & they haven't updated it a lot but most people seem to like what it is. They have updated the Capra & added a 29 inch version so that is now the long, low, slack option for enduro. The Jeffsy is a trail bike remember and not an enduro shredder - you will be able to tackle any enduro in SA on it. A lot of people say the 66 / 67 degree HA is the sweet spot for mid travel trail bikes as they have a different needs to bikes than the Capra, Rallon & others. It does look shorter when compared to similar bikes like the Evil Following & Transition Smuggler. Demo one & see what you think. I am guessing there will be a revision of the Jeffsy soon but at the moment it's still good enough to get a lot of thumbs up, positive reviews and still feature in things like Dirt Magazine 100 https://dirtmountainbike.com/dirt-100/2018/yt-jeffsy-cf-29/
  23. YT are at the forefront of the direct sales model where they don't deal with shops. They can provided better value, kit and pricing by removing the middle man. A lot of bike co's are going that way now, some with an eye on better prices and value, some to just keep it all the same and make the extra profit line their pockets. YT SA do arrange demos and if you're in CT I'm sure they would show you around. If you are a tall guy then you'll love that YT make XXL and also increase all around geometry for each frame set with longer chain stays and other bits to keep it in relation. Interesting to see that YT EU / UK offer the Capra 27.5 and 29 as well as Jeffsy as frame only for the first time. Doesn't look like that is happening here in SA.
