  1. Some people will low ball as they want a bargain. I guess there is no harm in that, if you're not happy with the price then say no. You might say yes though and someone who can't afford something at the more expensive price might just get a good deal. If you don't ask then there there isn't a chance. Doesn't bother me in the least.
  2. Will there be beers or do I need to bring a slab?
  3. 100%
  4. Yeah, I get that but I didn’t realise you got a cop out on performing because the team comes from Africa. It’s a competitive environment but TDD is in the world tour, the top tier and they can’t get into to a break. You could have removed them from le tour and giro and no one would have noticed. There was a time that no break, how suicidal, would go up the road with out a TDD rider there. People smash cav’ but at least he delivered some amazing results on the big stage. Nizzo has done well and saved the season to a degree (much like ben king did last year) but what about the top steps of the Amstel Gold race that they signed and haven’t even shown the shirt let alone delivered on the promise? Surely we’re allowed to ask or does the fact they are Africa’s team preclude them from criticism and scrutiny? Louie is a fan fav’ but believe he is getting a good contract and hasn’t won a thing since 2015. Yup, GC is a different beast and he’s delivered some top 10 presence in le Tour which is no mean feat but GC riders win stages and the intent Isn’t there. It’s follow wheels until you’re dropped and limit losses over everyone else to shore up you position. Not sure i’ve Ever seen what an attack from the cheddar looks like. All things said i’d Think a stage win would trump a 8th or 9th in terms of publicity and brand promotion. The qhubeka angle is touted in every press releas, interview and that is what the team is about but frankly the budget of a wt team can buy more bikes than the current awareness from the team is creating. Some one did the maths here and the tangible results from the bikes donors in the time the team has run is pretty average. Don’t forget they haven’t got a women’s team and their blooding of new African talent hasn’t been front and centre since they became more ‘global’. They haven’t done well for 2 solid seasons and that is starting to become a habit.
  5. If Tubby Betty was in the top 10 that must have been a stellar sprint! A result is a result though.
  6. You don't want to put the boot in but wild card teams are at least up the road in the various doomed breaks. Maybe the DS needs to go and chat to Gianni Savio and see how he gets his riders in to 90% of the break in the Giro.
  7. Huchinson drop a new dry weather combo. Looks like it could be worth a look. https://www.bikemag.com/gear/components/tires-components-gear/tested-hutchinson-griffus-2-4-and-2-5/
  8. Oh I see it was a mistake by the website KS is riding for ICA not TDD. Cav’ also was a DNF on the first stage. Seems the team decision on le tour was right.
  9. I did say ‘imagine’ but holy cow I didn’t know Kristen Sprag’ was still a part of team DD. Apparently he was in the break today and reports he was a team DD rider. I thought he’d left to Israel CA.
  10. and imagine if he wins a stage at what ever half ass'd race he's at now AND the tour is going on. coverage, coverage, coverage!
  11. I still would have bet on a Cav over a Cummings.
  12. Well not bringing Cav has worked out brilliantly so far. All those stage hunters and opportunists getting into breaks each day is really paying off for Mr Ryder.
  13. Shame, we are all a bit starved of good news when a 4th place and 14th out of 22 is sign that we're 'better off with out Cav'. I hope that 4th gives Nizzolo a confidence boost but I'll still say he's not going to win a stage at this tour, the gulf is too big between the pure fast guys and then the stronger guys like Matthews, Sagan etc. Cav's not here, let's just focus on the results and stop footnoting everything with whether it would have been better with him. I hope EBH can fly today, he's been in decent form and honestly no one remembers a way back 4th place.
  14. I think that is the brutal reality of the situation. Issue you have is that he’s often bucked those trends and is such a racer that he can spring something from nothing. Unfortunately those situations were when he was younger and fearless.
  15. What ever the truth TDD management keep shooting themselves in the foot at almost every turn.
  16. Stevo apparently went on the offensive first saying to reporters who approached ‘you’re not going to ask me about cav’ are you?’.
  17. Why would you wear socks with your flip flops???
  18. Don't forget he's been part of some of the most successful trains in the world and has been passing that info on as a sprinter and a road captain to the current team members, the young guys and helping shape them. But there are the hundreds of Cav' haters despite all the good he's done for the team and wins he's brought that will moan and groan about him and anyone connected to him. That core of people that think the foreign riders are over the hill, slacking and taking up money and that the young south african guys aren't getting their chances and obviously being held back from fulfilling their destiny and their (completely unseen) potential.
  19. You got 'go faster' stripes.
  20. On the upside. Maybe, just maybe.
  21. Shame the recent interviews with Renshaw, EBH etc aren't painting a picture of a focused campaign more ad hoc and filling holes from illness. Can't believe that the new signings and firepower they have aren't getting anywhere. If I were them I might remove the 'True Flandrian' Vermote video for a bit considering how anonymous he's been along with Valgren and Bak. Comes across a bit 'style over substance'.
  22. Yeah, and still pulls a 4th. Awesome ride by Bettiol, snuck under the radar a bit but should have had more spotlight looking back at his placings recently. Jonny V will be doing cartwheels and Dave B will be thinking it’s Groundhog Day.
  23. anyone seen any gif of MVDP’s hop to crash. Tough bugger to fight back from that. Looked like it was his collarbone at first. Edit: Found it.
  24. Thanks for that guys. Not really clued up on that side of things.
  25. Sorry, again... what’s the difference between xco and xcm?
