  2. it's a 2 man bike...damn, I was looking for 1 man 1 woman bike...
  3. the best lube for cable housings in my experience is Finish Line chain lube...it is super runny and works really well..replacing a cable and housing is cheap but a bit of a faff if routed internally..
  4. Cecilia forest
  5. the most cost effective would probably be to travel with it...sending it to Canada would implicate customs etc...so not sure if it would be cost effective
  6. How do you get Merlin to take off UK VAT when you order? It seems to be included in the price ....
  7. it has already been discussed here...perhaps continue on this thread..
  8. I really have no problem with people asking if something is still available...after all I would as the same to open up the conversation. I have a problem in that after somebody asks me if something is available and I say "yes it is"...then I get radio silence...and this happens all the time..
  9. just bring a bike back...simple...you don't need to take one from SA to take one back from the UK..customs don't bother with sporting goods.
  10. Bike Park in Constantia Uitsig will do it..
  11. https://www.decathlon.it/p/mtb-race-900-ltd-sram-xx1-axs-wireless/_/R-p-334031?mc=8654749 It is astounding that they can offer a hardtail specced to the hilt for EUR4250 [which includes 22%VAT] in Italy [R68000] They are also launching a similarly specced full suspension bike soon...used by their pro team at the moment... Just the components are worth quite a bit more than the entire bike...probably worth buying and dismembering! 12. can you include shipping to the outer Hebrides in the price?
  13. would you do a trade on a jewish harp? ... a little used..?
  14. is it broken?
  15. why are you selling it?
  16. a piece of bacon that sounds this big
  17. With Naked insurance if I want to insure 2 bikes do I need to get a quote for each one specifically or can I sum up the value and get one premium [obviously specifying the 2 bikes and their respective values]? update….they answered my email and said each bike must be insured on a separate quote bikes on a locked roofrack are covered if reasonable precautions were taken, obviously not left overnight in the street on the car😵‍💫
  18. I spoke to Discovery on the phone and he unequivocally said that unless I take out house insurance they do not insure single items like bikes...
  19. using it now in my Epic Evo...will report back if I puncture...
  20. anyone else have experiences with Naked insurance?
  21. nope, Discovery will only insure bikes under household insurance, not as single items… looks like Naked is the best option
  22. no sorry I was not clear...I need to buy a 3mm offset spider so I can use my chainring as pictured above...it is a titanium one, quite pricey and last literally forever..this one has over 10000km on it and still looks new. I tried it on the Epic Evo using my current 6mm spider and it barely touches so with the 3mm boost spider it will be fine Obviously I could just buy a 3mm offset direct mount oval chainring...but I really want to use my titanium one😄
