  1. so… where to source a spider locally?
  2. sure, I can buy a direct mount boost chainring but i have a really cool titanium Carbon-ti chainring as in the pic that I bought when I lived in Italy that I want to carry on using...the spider on it is unfortunately a 6mm offset..
  3. anyone know where I could get a BCD-76 SRAM compatible boost spider locally? Carbon-Ti I would have to import...
  4. yup...strange design by Specialized to have that chainstay so close to the chain..
  5. a 34T would definitely touch the frame ...if anything a 30T. have been using oval for 10 years...
  6. Has anyone tried mounting an oval 32T chainring on an Epic Evo 2022? With the round 32T there is already very little clearance to the frame and I am worried that using an oval or o-symmetric chainring it will touch when in the horizontal position. Also the chain will rub on the rubber chainguard when on the 10 cog ... I mounted my Carbon-Ti Monosync o-symmetrical 32T chainring but using a 6mm spider that I have...and it just touches the frame so if I get the 3mm Boost spider it should clear by 2mm or so...the problem remains the chain rub on the chainguard when using the 10 cog😗
  7. maybe someone else can try add SRAM items to a basket...see what happens?
  8. even doing a search for anything SRAM comes up empty...
  9. strange that you were able to get SRAM parts from them...when I log in from my Italian address it lets me add them to the cart but if I change to an SA address the items are no longer there. Most German and EU shops cannot ship SRAM and Rockshox parts to SA
  10. Does Discovery insure bikes? Outsurance kept me on the phone for half an hour asking one million unintelligible questions and then came up with a monthly premium for insurance while in the premises and an out-and-about insurance of R1400pm [on R165000 value for 2 bikes]...also kept insisting on my bank acc. details to start policy immediately. Looking at Naked too...seems ok and fairly simple to use, not sure if it will insure bikes on a locked roof rack...390pm on R165000 value , 1000 excess I have just returned form a 10yr stint overseas so I have no previous insurance company to fall back on since I was not insured for anything in SA after 2011...
  11. both at 120mm, Epic Evo is 66,5 and Titan is 67.5... not that it means that much I suppose...one needs to try the bike and see
  12. Really good value there… 1 to 1.5 degrees steeper than my Epic Evo…quite a steep HA compared the most modern bikes…😗
  13. Ground Control T7 front and Fast Track T5 rear
  14. absolutely, people are free to haggle on a bike price and get it at a bargain and then try to make a quick buck on it...it'a a free market after all...just seems odd on a small biking hub like this..
  15. sold my Scalpel Si to a hub member 2 weeks ago only to see it back on sale for 11k more…😳
  16. yoga and trail running 2x a week
  17. nope...I tried with soapy water and wasted a piece...it does not stick with soapy water and the Bikeshield instructions say it must be applied dry... I just finished on my Epic Evo and it's looking good...let's see how it lasts..
  18. Absolutely...it is the most legible out of all the Garmin units..
  19. I love my Garmin 130 , best Garmin I have ever had , most legible screen and no mapping function [which is generally pretty bad on Garmins.] Displays my AXS gearing, turns on and off my Bontrager lights and shows their status, links to my HR strap and my speed sensor...enough said.
  20. do you apply Bikeshield dry or do you use soapy water as shown in some youtube videos ? I have ordered the 1m x20cm roll so should be plenty to work with. How thick is it? Thx👍
  21. pure collagen protein...unflavoured
