Yip, Shimano reels are the best and they have still got one of the best drag systems in the world......they do make Saltwater reels.........and they are Awesome.......... Was quite a niche to have been able to have Ultegra goupo on my bike and have ultegra reels....lekkers....+ Scott bike and Scott fly rods
  13. Hmmmmmm, sien daar ontdek ek nou net weer iets.... Thx Spinnekop
  14. Correct...think they bought shares about two or three years ago...........wouldn't mind having a couple of those myself hey
  15. Hey all of a sudden I have come to know myself better as well......thank you all This thread should be renamed to the Discovery channel.... Snapshot, Subaru, Shimano, Suzuki, Sushi.........my order of priority
  16. Ooooooi, ha,ha,ha,ha,ha I have both those as well........... And take a guess what brand my reals for my flyfishing is.........Shimano........... And my lawnmover.......yip.....Fuji Industries......who own's Subaru as well My name is Jokerman and I like thing starting with S coming from the land where the ppl are short and speakfunny........Y know him <---said in a Japanese acent
  17. Ok, so they might have not had the best fighter pilots in wars but they sure making up for it with them Scoobies cars.......... They go like stink and carrot just about anything that costs 3 times as much..... You go guys...........you rock !!!!!!!
  18. Scoobies aka Subaru's rule !!!!!!!! What can I say.............I love things that start with S and comes from Jap land............
  19. Steynja Buddy, I sure hope you managed to get a answer to your original question before we hi-jacked your thread
  20. Hmmmmmmm, I wonder who was the first to bring out STI type shifters.......... Yip, I have larger hands and found that the STI's suite me better than the Campag config.......... As for ultimate comfort they SRAM's take the cake not to mention the neatness of not having cabling sticking out
  21. You will find the following explination to that question: He's the guy who.....cut of a nut, start using drugs and was stupid enough to leave a women like Sherryl Crow........ Say what you want that guy can peddle a bike hey....with or without any of the above mentioned......not to mention what he has done for our sport
  22. Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha............Mampara I agree buddy.............I just hate it when guys think they are better than guys with lesser expensive equipment.....very much the same as guys thinking they have it made and own the road when they can buy their first BMW........ Like I said.....I stick to my guns.....each product have their own good and bad qaulities.......in the end personal prefrence and experience will be the telling factor in the end
  23. Spinnekop, from my personal experience I beg to differ mate..........I don't want to generalize but will stick my neck out and say that I have met so many ppl riding Campag that think they are better than us mortals riding Shimano................and not sure why they think that. Like you rightfully said........and LA it's in the end not about the bike bit about the guy on it............ I'm not saying I'm better than guys with Campag or any groupset for that matter........not at all.......... In the end it's about personal preference and admitting that each brand has their own good and bad points....just like anyhting else in life
  24. Oooooooooooi, say what you want but Shimano has the biggest market share in this industry ....and it's surely not only because they are cheaper and more reliable...that I can assure you. I wonder who had the majority of teams in the TDF for a while now. Fact is Campag is catering for a elite few that is willing to pay a premium for something Shimano does just as well if not better. Does this make them better or worse for it............Not in my eyes......... If you can afford it go for it, but please don't go and think you are better than the guy who rides and supports Shimano.
  25. Now the BIG question is where is BIG H on this subject.............should we call out the Search and Rescue ?????????????????
