  1. Point taken. I`m not defending him or condoning his behavior, or talking business strategy. I was just yapping on about how stupid those pants look.
  2. I hate those pants. It annoys me that people think it is cool wearing those ill fitting pieces of crap garments. " n Hanggat soos n hok-leeu" comes to mind. Its not a personal attack on the OP, but if it was one of those trousers that looked like you crapped your pants, then thats what it looked like. The guy in the shop maybe just thought out loud, like a lot of us do. --Morning rant over--
  3. Nice race to get the year started. The rolling hills in the second half are relentless though. Come prepared.
  4. Spit wont work, you need to go fetch it waaay back. The green stuff, they work.
  5. Maybe a Reminder function where you can be reminded when its time to check the Stans, or when it time to swop/check the chain etc. And a calendar-type of logbook where you can enter your daily activities. Whether it was just spinning on the trainer or long rides or intervals or climbs or whatever. Something seperate from the Garmin/Strava type of downloads where you dont have to go online and download files to check you weekly tally so far.
  6. I have the Topeak Mini 18, nice and compact, with a chainbreaker that works well. Highly recommend this one. http://www.alibabike.com/22235-thickbox/multi-outils-topeak-mini-18-18-fonctions.jpg
  7. None left, but thanks.
  8. I know this is a long shot, but does anybody know of available accommodation for the night before the race? Two adults, two kids.
  9. I like Phil, keeping one entertained for three weeks without making any mistake on commentary, or calling a wrong name is excusable IMO. Same goes for Paul. They are to the Tour what Hugh Bladen is to SA Rugby, or what Murray Walker was to F1 GP. We`ll probably miss them when they`re gone. I`d much rather listen to them than that irritating bloke who did the live-on-the-bike commentary. Turn the volume down if it annoys you.
  10. Nose shower gel dispenser..
  11. Garmin Fenix Might be above your budget, but they say its better than the Suunto Ambith.
  12. Did you post the title like that to get the attention of everybody? I surely hope so, cause that`s not really justified make such a statement. You could get all the answers you need in a much less abrasive way. Here or somewhere else. I, for one, am going to stay out of this one.
  13. Had the same problem. Also have one of those older lights. The connectors/conductors in the cell pack rusted through and disconnected. The problem is now: is it worth fixing it, or just buy a new battery pack. The second problem is: the Magiclight and the (newer) Magicshine lights do not have the exact same male-female cable connectors, where the light connects to the battery pack. It does fit, but only just (sometimes disconnects in the ride..pitch black all around). Still wondering what to do.
  14. William at William`s Bike Shop in Somerset West is pretty good.
  15. Looks like the ideal getaway-bike for a Zombie invasion
  16. Seriously? Looks like you're here to stir. Maybe you should avoid Cape Town completely, and stay in Gauteng.
  17. My first Spyderco also was a Dragonfly. ... they will get bigger from here
  18. Spyderco Caly3, with the ZDP-189 blade. Sharpest knive I've ever owned, and the edge stays hair-splitting sharp forever.
  19. Jip, this one. I think they dont make them anymore.
  20. Today`s choice, my Cold Steel
  21. That looks like the Spyderco Merlin -- Hannibal Lector`s toy
  22. Like I said, I think he's on the Hub reading this right now.
  23. Ja they wore them in the opening ceremony as well. I think they were told to prepare themselves for The Mud Island (aka England)
