  1. While I agree that we shouldn't be surprised, cycling isn't dirtier than any of the other sports. So what should we watch? Soapies?
  2. The other codes are also tested regularly and, as set out above, have positives. I really don't understand why only cycling gets such bad publicity.
  3. How about tug-of-war? 15 tests but no positives. They also test lifesaving (huh?), archery, shooting and figure skating (I didn't even know people did that in SA).
  4. According to the SAIDS 2010-2011 annual report, in that period rugby had the most doping rule violations, namely 6, followed by power lifting (5) and boxing (4). Wrestling had 2 and cycling only 1. Even netball and rowing had one each.
  5. Good point. Can these experienced guys cycle with one hand on their handlebars and one hand pushing me up the hills?
  6. Speak up on thehub and you'll have your head bitten off. Remember what happened to anyone who dared mention Armstrong in the same sentence as doping?
  7. That is what TUE's are for. Why should there be a process? This is clearly a contractual issue. If Nedbank had any sense, which I'm sure they do, they would have a term in the contract stipulating what would happen if a rider tested positive. There's nothing more to it.
  8. The guides have to leave a trail for us to follow, preferably a trail of chocolate steri stumpies. It will be like a treasure hunt.
  9. I've never done a floating bridge - going to be exciting.
  10. Can I join this one as well please? Fountains is close for me but I've never been there.
  11. I'd like to join, please. I'll set three alarms and not oversleep again.
  12. Sounds like you guys had quite a ride. I'm so sorry I missed it. Oh well, hopefully there will be a next time.
  13. Will the ride still be on even if its raining?
  14. Apologies would be good.
  15. If last week is anything to go by, you're great at organising group rides. I was just teasing. Really looking forward to this ride.
  16. Did you leave me off the list accidentally or is this a hint that I'm not welcome.
  17. That section isn't so bad, it looks much worse than it is. And if I can ride it, anyone can. Maybe next time we must spend some time at the spots that people are wary of, to practice them? Its all about practice and confidence.
  18. Enjoy and let us know how it went.
  19. I'd like to join, preferably in the morning but afternoon is also fine. Looking forward to it.
  20. I can unfortunately not make this ride either. Have fun though!
  21. Some hubbers actually care about the sport.
  22. He bought it on himself but if you don't like, you probably sholdn't be reading the threads? Like who? Start some threads and we'll all join in.
