  1. Not a chance I am reading all of these pages! I bought a russels hobbs expresso maker few months back. Just the expresso and frother. Got a krupps grinder as well. I was using a mocca pot before this and it was also good. But value for money the russel has served me really well. You need to start off with a good fresh roast. My friend owns a roaster and I get awesome fresh beans from his company. What a difference! If your beans are old it tastes rubbish. Grind what you need the leftover goes bad quick (by the next day, even if zipped locked) You will need to play with your technique when making your coffee and take some amazing and some not so amazing cups....... But I can happily say now that I hate ordering coffee from anywhere now because I am always dissopointed as I love my own coffee more.
  2. eat less macdonalds maybe?
  3. Damm. Two years off and it is now gone.... oh well
  4. Unfortunately. But lifes unfair...... I have never stumbled across drugs and My legs are tiiiirreeeeeddddd!! :-)
  5. True. I have also heard about this. Parents forcing kids to take hoping it will secure them a life in sport oneday.....
  6. you can also get across the n1 at the canal walk train station. follow the road straight down to the mutual station and that will get you over the tracks there as well. i was going to try that out when i worked at mutual for a while.
  7. i have always been told by my mtbing friends, the tougher, the dirtier the better....... where did you fall off the horse?
  8. Kevin. Wow long time no hear man! Cool. I will track you down.....Where you nowdays? Did you go down under?
  9. No up the road. Company called Computacenter. Big international company. Same office park as Metropolitan. Same thing I am doing now. Headhunted me, more money so off I go! Need to look after family you know. Need to just find out how I am going to get the commuting to work from there. But even if I have to go back to using the wheelchair bathroom with facecloths it is still better than sitting in traffic. Same distance and same route up to durban road so that is all good. I could even use the virgin active on that side if I am desperate.
  10. Cool. Stick a pair of those wheels in my christmas stocking then. Well if you guys see a set floating on the hub next year then PLEASE let me know.
  11. I will see if I can make it.
  12. Trying on my phone. The FB login is blocked here.
  13. Big come back next year sometime. You guys can throw a lekker dicsco in there for me...... I am riding the burger. But I am starting with one of my friends. He has never done a race before so he is likely to start all the way at the back. So I will just take the day as it comes. Realistically though he has only been back on the bike for 2 months as well so I think a easy 4 hours is what I am going to pace him for.
  14. True. I need to also be realistic of what is going to make a difference before spending the money. Nice toys doesnt always mean faster.... With that being said, deeper profile wheels will help for the high speed sections big time. What is your guys take? Still zipps? 404's? (dont know when I will have that much money but I can dream cant I )
  15. Sweet. I will follow both of you. Spat - Are you using your real name?
  16. Sweet. Getting new job at the end of the month...... So hopefully within the next year I will have a new set of wheels. Recon that will make a nice difference when I want to go race again.
  17. What is your name on there so I can follow you? You guys can check me out - Warren Heald - It is just full of commuting at the moment though....
  18. Oh cool man. All my old friends. Feels good to be back.
  19. Hey Buzzman. Thanks. Hows the riding going? Still got the sprint 350's?
  20. Thats it. I am coming back into cycling now with a totally different mindset about how to eat etc. So I am pretty excited to see how it pans out.
  21. Ya, the first baba is 4 already. His party tomorrow. My daughter is one now (one month ago). So I have been idle for too long now. Time to start stiring some tar again.... Have you always been Puncheur? Or did you rename yourself? I wonder if Cononel has come back because of something I put on facebook last night....... I beat him in a segment on Strava........ even though it wasnt a fast hill I still got a good time though. So that would make sense him trying to come with a whiplash now. Come on Cononel.... if you dont like my FB posts then go and beat my time up there. Then I will have some inspiration to go even harder!
  22. Are you still keen for a ride before the burger? This weekend is out for me, but I am probably free next week saturday morning.
  23. yep. Probably just briefly. Work is killing me at the moment. Starting my new job at the end of the month so hopefully that will be more relaxed. You will be happy to know that I have been commuting for the last 3 months now again. Lost 8kg already and feeling so good! Finding the Tim Noakes diet thing is the shizzels . I am riding every day with minimal carbs and I have so much energy! Did a longer ride the other day just a bit of 32GI and I was feeling freaking strong. I put a app called Strava on my phone and now I am chasing down segments (race points basically) that people have created and it is inspiring me so much. I want to maybe come back to racing next year if I can now. You guys all good?
