  1. Almost a year ago that I changed and will not change back, it is just easier, quicker, cleaner.
  2. Just had a look at mine and it is messed up-battling to understand the formula and averaging they use.
  3. From your lips to admin's ears?
  4. Think there should be some process like ebay where u get rated as a buyer and seller with a place to give an view feedback, not sure how much effort it will take to set up but could be usefull and add the buyer rating to the hubber id. If you look at the level of activity on the Classifieds then it makes sense.
  5. BTW wrc jEFF assume it is your bike? Who are u insured with?
  6. Ok Mojoman -gotcha. In my case our gardener/general assistant was washing it outside and went to get the chain scrubber (he knows his stuff) and when he got back it was gone, guy jumped over the wall and had it in 2 min. Think Intern's was similar from what I heard.
  7. @Mojoman are u asking me? Do u mean how Yang or the Mozambiquan got it?
  8. Sux Man, where in the West Rand? cause the f#cker that got my bike as well as interns and Kleintje is a Mozambiquan that Operates from Little Falls to Fairlands, if it is him chances are that it will end up in Moz and yang will get it, but they are wising up and the ransom for the bikes go up every time
  9. Yeah know to stay away from the IDT with a carbon bike it is just that my favourite alu frame will now become the Indoor Bike and would hate to see her hurt. Found ealier on that the rear tyre does wear quite quick and now have the Conti Indoor tyre, which is a bitch to put on and ugly as sin but lasts much longer.
  10. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Heard that your Alu Frame and back wheel are weakened when using them on an IDT. Makes sense that there is limited flex on the frame/wheel and it plcase extra stress and is probably true but to what extent anyone have any technical info, anecdotes etc to help me understand the effect on the frame
  11. I did not want to be a marshall on this race for love nor money, tough job but well handled in our group we had no complaints. Well done!
  12. @SCOTTY are u saying I should blame myself for returning a gift to the store that it was bought and got stiffed? Should we take the punch and shut up and not announce it on the forum, so maybe we should shut up about bike jackings, poor service etc, incidents at races, fraudulent Sales and suck it up. Fail to see your logic.
  13. @scotty and Muddee I fail to see that my post was to stir or to bitch and moan I stated facts and did not get emotional about it. The fact remains I was stiffed, if the same happens to you what would you do? @mallo dude you are so wrong, eventually this will catchup I will never ever got to Cajees again and put my foot in there, the facts are there so u condone the fact that I got ripped off? Check the facts that i Posted
  14. @HR I dont mind paying a handling fee but that's a bit rich paying the costs plus some. @andyr249 it was bought as a gift and I normally pop in for there for consumables as they are close by. But now will get in my car and drive to Eagle Canyon cycles, they wont even have the benefit of the couple of R100 I spend buying tubes, bombs etc
  15. The Park Tool pump that I got as gift about a year ago was giving faulty pressure readings. Took it back to Cajees in Strubensvalley. Willem booked the Pump in on the16th Jan. On Friday I received a call that my pump would be replaced by Park Tool-Well Done Park Tool. On arriving at the store I was given my pump and told that I had to pay R120. I asked Willem what it was for he said that Park Tool said so. I asked Willem to get Park Tool to phone me and explain why or what I was paying for -Nothing happened.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> My question was answered when I contacted Park Tool myself and asked them why I had to pay R120, they told me that it was for freight. They also told me that there was 4 items shipped in that parcel to Cajees at a Cost of R110. The question is why do I have to pay for shipping plus R10 for 3 extra items. emailed Cajees for a response on Tuesday 02 Feb and have to date received no reply.
  16. Sorry meant 5% excess and 10% for theft and Hijacking.
  17. Also remember the excess like with Cyclesure: Standard excess is 5%+if it is theft/hijacking, which means 15%, you have to buy a bike from that money, try replacing your bike after they have knocked off 15%
  18. ET it sux big time sorry man, made my donation to these F#ckers in sept. Important post it To the Stolen Bike section with as much detail as possible. Yang might find it if it is the Moz thief-does not sound like his MO. Also do the cop thing for what it is worth, just to get a case for Insurance at least. My other question is apart from Moz where do these bikes go, there must be a market if the robbers are so active.
  19. Ordered stuff from Team Cyclist in US for delivery with our friends in San Francisco, so the wife could collect when she visited in October. Mrs returns with no kit, postage got lost, took 11 weeks to get a refund from them.
  20. Santam did the same with the depreciation without me having to call them. However my bikes were with Cyclesure and they charge 5% excess and 10% when it is theft or Hijacking-not much fun when u want to claim and find out that u cannot get the bike u had got much better rates and Excess from Garrun Group.
  21. BTW Stillwater now that u have the Monster any early updates on it what u planning and how will it be different to last year.
  22. @stillwater-good reply and clarification. The Information sounds good. Will give feedback after Saturday.
  23. Hey at least my gardener gets a T-shirt for Xterra, will check if he reads Go Multi
  24. I wear orthotics as i Pronate, so would maybe look at XT wings without my orthotics. Pietrman who got me into this recommeded them. So Salomon seems the way to go. thanks Bos for cautioning on using them on the Road I was gonna do that.
