  1. @Mampara where are the Aspens the cheapest?
  2. @Mampara, do u run them Front and Rear, where are they best suited? If Mamapara and Geoff Kabush endorses them then I am willing to take that risk;-)
  3. BTW @Underachiever how good is Monorail vs Crossmark at the back?
  4. Mountain King 2.4 Front and Crossmark at the back. Find that the Race King is not as grippy in the back especially climbing on loose shale and it tends to slide out in turns where the Crossmark grips.
  5. Bad Luck, know how u feel. Suggest that u maybe move it to the "Stolen Bike" section. It will juct get Lost in the Classifieds. The hubbers go to check at the Stolen section if they see something. That is how Yang recovered 3 bikes.
  6. Don't disagree but u can ask ur ass/body the same question after a long hard technical bone jarring ride.
  7. http://twitter.com/LangeMalcolm
  8. How much do u pay for the subs if u have PVR, was thinking of it but guess with Eksdom and Petrol and the subsequent consumer hikes, that's off the list.
  9. Almost a year ago that I changed and will not change back, it is just easier, quicker, cleaner.
  10. Just had a look at mine and it is messed up-battling to understand the formula and averaging they use.
  11. From your lips to admin's ears?
  12. Think there should be some process like ebay where u get rated as a buyer and seller with a place to give an view feedback, not sure how much effort it will take to set up but could be usefull and add the buyer rating to the hubber id. If you look at the level of activity on the Classifieds then it makes sense.
  13. BTW wrc jEFF assume it is your bike? Who are u insured with?
  14. Ok Mojoman -gotcha. In my case our gardener/general assistant was washing it outside and went to get the chain scrubber (he knows his stuff) and when he got back it was gone, guy jumped over the wall and had it in 2 min. Think Intern's was similar from what I heard.
  15. @Mojoman are u asking me? Do u mean how Yang or the Mozambiquan got it?
  16. Sux Man, where in the West Rand? cause the f#cker that got my bike as well as interns and Kleintje is a Mozambiquan that Operates from Little Falls to Fairlands, if it is him chances are that it will end up in Moz and yang will get it, but they are wising up and the ransom for the bikes go up every time
  17. Yeah know to stay away from the IDT with a carbon bike it is just that my favourite alu frame will now become the Indoor Bike and would hate to see her hurt. Found ealier on that the rear tyre does wear quite quick and now have the Conti Indoor tyre, which is a bitch to put on and ugly as sin but lasts much longer.
  18. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Heard that your Alu Frame and back wheel are weakened when using them on an IDT. Makes sense that there is limited flex on the frame/wheel and it plcase extra stress and is probably true but to what extent anyone have any technical info, anecdotes etc to help me understand the effect on the frame
  19. I did not want to be a marshall on this race for love nor money, tough job but well handled in our group we had no complaints. Well done!
  20. @SCOTTY are u saying I should blame myself for returning a gift to the store that it was bought and got stiffed? Should we take the punch and shut up and not announce it on the forum, so maybe we should shut up about bike jackings, poor service etc, incidents at races, fraudulent Sales and suck it up. Fail to see your logic.
  21. @scotty and Muddee I fail to see that my post was to stir or to bitch and moan I stated facts and did not get emotional about it. The fact remains I was stiffed, if the same happens to you what would you do? @mallo dude you are so wrong, eventually this will catchup I will never ever got to Cajees again and put my foot in there, the facts are there so u condone the fact that I got ripped off? Check the facts that i Posted
  22. @HR I dont mind paying a handling fee but that's a bit rich paying the costs plus some. @andyr249 it was bought as a gift and I normally pop in for there for consumables as they are close by. But now will get in my car and drive to Eagle Canyon cycles, they wont even have the benefit of the couple of R100 I spend buying tubes, bombs etc
  23. The Park Tool pump that I got as gift about a year ago was giving faulty pressure readings. Took it back to Cajees in Strubensvalley. Willem booked the Pump in on the16th Jan. On Friday I received a call that my pump would be replaced by Park Tool-Well Done Park Tool. On arriving at the store I was given my pump and told that I had to pay R120. I asked Willem what it was for he said that Park Tool said so. I asked Willem to get Park Tool to phone me and explain why or what I was paying for -Nothing happened.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> My question was answered when I contacted Park Tool myself and asked them why I had to pay R120, they told me that it was for freight. They also told me that there was 4 items shipped in that parcel to Cajees at a Cost of R110. The question is why do I have to pay for shipping plus R10 for 3 extra items. emailed Cajees for a response on Tuesday 02 Feb and have to date received no reply.
  24. Sorry meant 5% excess and 10% for theft and Hijacking.
  25. Also remember the excess like with Cyclesure: Standard excess is 5%+if it is theft/hijacking, which means 15%, you have to buy a bike from that money, try replacing your bike after they have knocked off 15%
