  1. anyone know wher u can get the Spez innersoles with the Metatarsal button?
  2. Mavic and Sidi are narrow u need to look at Northwave. Also look at something that lifts the forefoot , think Spez makes some inserts. Also look at your cleat alignment.
  3. Depends on how far you wanna go, if ur at ruimsig go out past the driving range to the squatter camp, hook a right at the camp and head down to Muldersdrift Polce station, at the Intersection hook right again, you can ride the tracks that go past the school or stay on the road and go left and right to Avianto sports club, lots of routes there.
  4. The Mrs took some pics and must say that she did a better job than finisherpix so apart from the ride, her pix will do
  5. Prices are are a rip-off. What I want to know is how they got it right to get our swim pics matched with the rest of our pix as we had no markings? But yeah it is a rip-off, and then almost R50 for postage-wtf.
  6. OH Crap now realize ur in Slaapstad...sorry RTFP Wheelsuck!
  7. Dylan Victor-had my fair share of tries with all sorts an found Dylan to be the best
  8. Suggestion why not use Survey Monkey? It will make it much easier for you to manage the info, also u can just post the link, think u might get more responses
  9. @TNT1 yeah you boys from the other side of the compass are tuff , but if you start growing a third eye...remember I told u so
  10. Germiston Lake is SIFF!
  11. Heia Safari Lodge on the M5 (Beyers Naude) towards the Cradle A 1.4km loop. Nice venue u will see giraffe and zebra close up-nice family outing. Also further on is Buffelspoort.
  12. DA Compact Crank, 7800/900 Will do Or Sram Force Compact Crank. 50 or 60mm Deep Section Clincher Front wheel Only.
  13. Cravings especially at night usually means that you are not taking in enough protein during the day, up your protein. Also I snack on Sunflower and pumpin seeds and find it curbs my cravings.
  14. Spinnekop what did the doc say?
  15. @Regard I had a bad experience with a Dr at HPC, so called expert diagnosed me with severe pronation, didnt even do gait analysis etc, turns out I supinate. The physicians and podiatrist at the Sports clinic sorted me out. So the so called non Dr that u refer to is quite well known DR Jon Patricios and the podiatrist was Frank Dubowitz that got the gait diagnosis right. So I am not following fads etc so get the facts before you start attacking and maybe then you can make a meaningfulll contribution to this thread.
  16. @The Break, okay so what you can google will give you the general stuff but the symptoms I had-which is what a lot of the guys have-read Tread the last edition not the newest and see what Amy Jane Mundy went thru. But it depends, generally you feel like ****...no energy, low energy, no power, you get repeats of ilnessess for me it was flu-also muscular pain all over the body, fever and that is why I am gussing Spinnekop has something similar (Hope it is not the case) . It being a virus u feel lightheaded, and like your head is in cotton wool, you have difficulty concentrating.Your HR is all over the place but mostly spiking and high, look at the thread http://www.thehubsa...._1#entry1245818 and u will see some other hubbers had this as well and their symptoms
  17. Spinnekop go see a sports dr like John Patricios in Sandton-he will help. I would stay away from the crowd at HPC in Pta. I am on Gericomplex, AIM products, and Immonova + for my Coxsachie. Recently a homeopath added Colostrum Milk Chews and Wellnes Formula by Source natural. The last 2 is specific for fighting the Virus. In my limited and humble opinion I would say the glandular fever is a by product of something else, maybe Coxsachie or EBV? Have u been tested if not get a sports dr to properly diagnosis you then move from there. Sterkte Ou!
  18. Only 2 workshops/people I use: Johan Bornman and Josh at Cyclists Workshop.
  19. Yeah any tyre will do but you need soemthing that's gonna make the 340km easier. Last year I ran 2.4 Killer Bee's and no issues. There is no technical sections and the loose sand is only for a small section and there is plenty of road to correct in the loose sand the rest is like secondary roads. The only thing that I would take along that I never thought of is a Buff to protect ur mouth and nose from the dust during the 2nd last stage.
  20. Started with this: http://www.slowtwitch.com/mainheadings/techctr/bikefit.html Ended up having it done still need to tweak but the above are the guidelines
  21. Blitzed the swim, okay on the Bike, sucked on the run. Very clear what I have to work on.
  22. @Collin, who is the vinyl guy u mentioned with contact details? need some work done.
  23. I have a pair of Zoot's for my calves and use them on long rides, find it is better than putting them on afterwards to recover-but that's a persoanl thing. Unfortunately Zoot doesnt make for Qquads so got the Q ones from Troi and will try them out. But for me Zoot works on the bike. I have had a look at some other and they just look like lycra.Look at the pressure that it is supposed to provide and that should tell u if they are worth it.
  24. Agreed, when I got the newest Bicycling it seemd fatter than previous os excitedly I opened it and found the cause GT bike pamphlet. Same old drivel.Triathlonplussa, Ride is much better than this and can somoeone ask Mike to stop putting his photo of his ride with Lance in his ed column, getting as boring as the articles.
  25. I got a generic at Solomons in Woodmead..not the best but it did the job, also when I was looking around the guys at Northcliff had one, they just didnt have spacers though.
