Anyone know what time the B group (front end) did last year? Pity we can't check on finishtime.

Will there be batch results?

Are you checking the A riders times that you know of? As I know the batch results were not as previously on Racetec as it currently is with Finishtime.

Depending on your level of fitness of course, IMO, roughly 5mins slower on this route. (If you're going just under sub3). The extra km's do make a slight difference. I take this based on my previous results and results of friends on a similar fitness level. On the 2019 route I managed 2:54 from C group. Last year was 2:55 from A group, with slightly better fitness Hope this helps.

Might be a silly question but will the Ride Joburg seeding have an effect on other races? I don't find any place to view the latest 2021 race version's seeding index.

The few extra km from the previous routes, made it just that extra bit more difficult to achieve target times. First part of the race nice and fast to get a rythm going only to watch the avg dwindle with all those hills after halfway. Overall, with less number of participants the organisation went well. Seeding riders should definitely be checked up on though. I'd also really like to look at the batch results as we could do with the old racetec results.

This event results won't be on the racetec page as with the previous years?

How scary will the A bunch be in wet weather?

Tad bit early, especially with Prayer times. Was hoping there was another group to ride with decent numbers..

Are there any groups which ride slightly 'later', at around 520am?

Thanks for the info. The way I planned was a harder ride two weeks before Tshwane, as that was also two weeks out from Ride Joburg. This weekend, either doing a small crit or going to SBR

Elevation gain doesn't seem too bad with that distance. Just hope Au'GUST' is over by then with all those open roads

Always gonna be difficult taking an estimated guess on what would have been.. But take the stoppages into account and a closer guestimate would probably be 2:10ish for the full route
