  1. I'm also 6:27 in D start.. I was hoping to get there by 5am. And have my breakfast at 5:40 in the pen ???? lol
  2. In your guys experience. To be in the first third or so of the start pen, how much time before the start will one need to be in the pen?
  3. I most likely won't make Saturdays.. But if there is another 1 planned for a Sunday, I'll try to make it..
  4. How about guys plan and target a specific flat race like Fast1 or Dischem R4S.. Have 1 or 2 training rides together. Have a realistic target time considering the core groups' strength. And then see how many would be committed.? I'm no expert, but each persons ability wrt keeping an avg speed should more or less be on a similar level? Obviously barring external factors..
  5. I had the exact same feeling on an Adamo saddle that I tried for 2 rides. It feels like hell. I was gonna give this saddle a try, but now I'm not sure I should. Unless I can get 1 to try out as well..
  6. Do RaceTec actually clean up these results? I've seen quite a few fishy results on RaceTec (some impossible), which just stays there. I guess RaceTec need to start using tracking chips hahaha
  7. Exactly what happened to me at R4V. I was properly done for! But hey, what doesn't kill you... I think all preps should more or less be done for me now and just to try and be fresh for that sub3 947.. The nerves already phew..
  8. That oke you mention from AL, could've started in D group. Dion Guy. From PainCave in Benoni.. What a machine of a rider..
  9. I echo all the appreciation as the rest of the comments. Thanks again GW and organizers.. Team S4 had a fun day out. Rode from NL. We had riders completing their first century in that brutal wind. Tried to help pull as many riders as we could. Pity about our 1 small fall that caused 1 of our riders a DNF due to cracked bike frame.. To the Team S4 crew, well done!
  10. How long have you been riding? What type of a rider are you? Last year I did 3:19 @ Shova. And went on to a 3:07 @ 947. I am more comfortable on climbs than hanging with the powerhouses on flats. A friend of mine says he found 947 tougher than Shova. I personally found the Shova tougher, due to more descents and having to sprint to keep up with the bunch on descents..
  11. Either ML or NL.. Actually thought ML was the last group so I'll have to re-check
  12. 26 riders confirmed to ride from our group. Will be split into 2 paces.. Starting from way at the back of the field.. Few riders on their first race.. Hoping to have lots of fun and kind weather :-P
  13. Pretty cool with the top riders in there.. Not quite cool if they really prearrange the outcome though
  14. How many more were you expecting? And is this gonna be the slot for the race at this time of the year from now on?
  15. Wow I didn't know that.. awesome. Any chance you could post a link to it?
  16. Team S4 signed up and taking 2 groups perhaps.. Some riders perhaps to a PB, or for other members just to complete. Gonna be a fun day out!
  17. For those riding in D group. Is there anyone who's aiming to ride a 2:50 or so. Around 33 to 34 kmh avg speed?
  18. I think Prince means, he wants stalk his friends' start times ????
  19. That would be the ideal situation! So I guess I'll take it as it comes and try to ride smarter this time, as compared to my dismal R4V ????
  20. Last minute entry. Gotta test the fitness before 947. Hope I can stick with a group this time and burn my matches at the right times. .
  21. I can't seem to find that page on the CC site. But my cycle events seeding is 32.04 with penalties. D Group start was my sneak peak..
