Rode it in 2009 and if the conditions were the similar i would be peeved if they called it off but that was as bad as I was prepared to ride in. If it was worse then right call was made.

There was another time at one of the 24 hours held at NF where his handlebars came loose after he forgot tighten it. He went one way still holding his bars, the rest his bike the other way.
Thanks for the update Kevin, I popped round to Grapes yesterday but missed you. I chatted to the owner and as you mention everyone who knows him feels for him.
I agree to give his family a bit of breathing space, as someone who has shared a beer or dozen with Barry one thing he is not short of is mates, I think the whole of Benoni knows him. its difficult to hold a conversation with him in public as he keeps getting greeted In the interim the collection can still take place.
