    Rugby...

Finalist for the last 3 years. Lions had a dodgy start but came back and completely dominated the 2nd half. I cannot see them traveling to NZ to down Crusaders though but maybe the saying Third time Lucky will be in their favor.
  4. For the life of me i cannot get the new sensors to work with my 800, tried 2 different sensors and returned them for refund. Odd thing is if I'm riding in a bunch it will sometimes pick up one of the other bikes sensors.
  5. The short route for the less fit, more social rider has been retained, and follows the first 42Km of the route described above. This could be confusing, retained implies the route remains the same as previous years i.e. riders head west towards Alberton.
  6. Totally awesome JOHANNESBURG - In one of the highlights of the day, Amputee runner Xolani Luvuno completed the race on crutches just before 4.30pm http://ewn.co.za/2018/06/10/amputee-runner-luvuno-completes-comrades2018
  7. Looks like Garmin is picking the bill. Not all orgs have this luxury, a number of MTB races are held to raise money for charity and have limited or no sponsors for their race, R50 will not make a dent into their costs and make zero for their charity.
  8. Things started going pear shaped when Frans took ill and spent considerable time away from the business. He used to hold top end bikes but lately displayed entry level and cheaper unknown brands.

    Rugby...

Might be, I'm looking at the Blues vs Hurricanes game and the stands are virtually empty.

    Rugby...

I tend to agree with him . The NZ teams are not as dominant as previous years. Other than the Crusaders the other teams have all lost to non NZ teams even at home with the Blues losing all their home games. Australia on the other hand have yet to beat a NZ team. “Our (South African) conference is becoming just like the New Zealand conference.” https://citizen.co.za/sport/south-africa-sport/sa-rugby-sport/super-rugby/1924486/john-mitchell-south-african-group-becoming-as-strong-as-new-zealands/
  11. You missed the bandanna inside the bag and a quality one at that.
  12. There was a running race the weekend through Boksburg which has also attracted negative complaints from residents, local newspaper had no mention of it. 2 weeks ago there was the Birchwood road race in Boksburg and now the Colgate.
  13. It's their first one so there will be "teething" problems. Regards road closure I knew full closure on first attempt will have its issues, lets not forget when the 947 or 94.7 as it was known then first started with full road closure it was not complete as i ended up sharing the road with vehicles AND there were many moans from residents in the area about the inconvenience as well.
  14. I purchased from Bike24 last month. Order placed 26/03 looking at the trace system it left Germany 27/03, arrived in SA 31/03 processed on 4/04 then held up somewhere until 17/04 when I got notification to collect.
  15. Riders are still going to ignore the deadline date then complain about the increase in late entry costs. Its how they roll ride.
  16. I believe the race has moved to Sept and will not start at the Italian club but at a new venue which will include a wooden bridge dam crossing in the route.
  17. It will be seeded.
  18. Great cappuccino's and my favorite, Mocha.
  19. Broodblik near Bapsfontein is a must for cyclist's for coffee and pancakes especially MTB Saturdays. M&B along Atlas road for early weekday rides for coffee and muffins.
  20. Race has a feel like the old 947, racing along undulating N17 will feel like the N14 and then some climbing to finish.

    Rugby...

There goes my Superbru Sharks upset the order of things beating the Blues 63-40 in NZ !
  22. Entered, assume this is Racetec timed and counts towards 947 seeding. Try as i might I could not get round the lic box without selecting an option so picked off temp lic.
  23. Some sanity at least returning.

    Cricket......

I see the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) are unhappy with the sanction stating they believe its too harsh http://ewn.co.za/2018/03/29/aca-questions-severity-of-ball-tampering-bans
