  1. Craven week 2017’s heaviest player weighs a massive 130kg, the hulking JJ van der Mescht from the Sharks. To balance things though, the 18-year-old lock from Glenwood plays as a lock and, at 2m, is the second tallest player at the tournament too. However, consider this: he’s 8kg heavier than Springboks legend Bakkies Botha! http://citizen.co.za/sport/sport-rugby/1576587/the-tall-and-short-of-this-years-craven-week/
  2. Top of the log, home game quarters, semi's and final
  3. Crusaders with their first loss today, a win today will see the Lions lead overall and enjoy home semi and final,
  4. AB's were 14 men for 55 min but wins a win. Well deserved send off, even the AB's cant be critical of it.
  5. No tries for the AB's and first lost on home soil in 8 years.
  6. Another win massacre for the Lions, 94-7 running in 14 tries.
  7. England vs Argentina game was a cracker, despite the 35-25 gap reflected it was only in the last minutes that England scrapped ahead. This after narrowly losing 38-34 previous week show Argentina to be a powerful opposition.
  8. Busy watching a series on DSTV History titled "What on Earth" about unusual sightings and images found on earth taken via satellite, mysteries from strange geographical occurrences to man-made structures, quite fascinating.

Missed out on a hat trick, Springboks and Bafana with wins, Proteas loss.
  10. Lions remain only SA team having not to lost to other SA teams.
  11. Sharks lose to Kings, then put away the Stormers. SA rugby is more comical than I thought.
  12. Grapevine from my LBS is that the Kremertart might be returning next year.
  13. Kings beat Sharks
  14. Hard fought game but Lions take it 13-6 against Brumbies.
  15. Results are up on Spectrum sport.
  16. Really is a treasure and value for money. Photo's were done by actionmotion.photofrog.co.za when published.
  17. Don't qouate me on this but I hear the 70km route has changed from last year, still includes the climbs and forest section.
  18. Hurricanes appeared to be playing cat and mouse with the Stormers, from 22 all they added 19 unanswered points.
  19. Reminds me of last year when one of the riders pedal snapped before the finish, removing his helmet and walking next to his bike pushing it over the finish he was threatened with DQ. Nice to know CSA take note of real important stuff and not trifling stuff.
  20. IMO best local MTB race, I'm there.
  21. Number collection was available Wed, Thu,Fri,Sat and race day Sun,except for full licence who could not pick up on Sun, CSA rules, not ASG.
  22. Get to the front of the start group, you lose valuable time otherwise which will make the difference.
  23. 8000 might sound optimistic across both distances but not all who entered rode and also not everyone had chips particularly in the shorter distance where they rode more for fun than published result.
  24. Was aiming for sub 3, got 2.54 plus loose change in FL. Felt I could have got 2.50 but happy as it's my first long distance road race since 2015 947.
  25. Kings beat the Warratahs (champs in 2014) in Aus by 2 points, Aus rugby must be worse than I thought.
