  2. 2 years for doping, life ban for being stupid.
  3. That is a nice looking bike
  4. Unfortunately any achievement that stands out will be suspect and questionable.
  5. Yup, including stuffing up LA's 1999 test.
  6. I did HP a few weeks back and found it no worse than a lot of other roads. The only place one needs to be a bit careful is when appoaching some of the slip roads as the cars tend to take these without slowing down.
  7. Lol, upside is i think they are at least likely to win against the Valke.
  8. @Lions, nothing to Rave about.
  9. Buy already filled tubes with slime or as Mampara says, inject some slime into the tube then patch the hole. My success rate with trying to open the valve to insert slime has not been too good, and invariably i end up damaging the valve.
  10. Power requires too much effort and hard work, i tend to avoid both if i can help it.
  11. Triple ring is king
  12. Citizen has it on page 1,2 and back page.
  13. I suppose he could use the excuse he was not tested positive during the TDF but rather prior.
  14. Someone's losing his yearly salary deposit. Hamburg - German rider Patrick Sinkewitz, who was forced to retire from the Tour de France on Monday, has tested positive for testosterone, the German cycling federation BDR announced on Wednesday. http://www.news24.com/News24/Sport/Tour_de_France/0,,2-9-1506_2149068,00.html
  15. Lets hope it becomes a regular again, a big turn out for both distances.
  16. Enjoyed the race (any MTB race i do where i dont crash i enjoy), ended up doing the 35. Found the route not too technical, with a few longish climbs and thrilling rocky downhills. Lost about 5 min due to slow puncture, but after pumping it up twice it stayed hard for the remainder of the race. Good organization and venue, will definteley be back. I think this is my rear end
  17. Merida is good value for money, ranging from entry to epic level.
  18. WTF !! English and afrikaans spiders
  19. I think the affiliation thing is only valid for 2007 as a temporary measure as if the affiliation allows you to be seeded and ride, why would one need a Cyclo lic. IMO It is a good suggestion to rather delay implementation for 2007 and work at getting this right 1st. My idea would be for CSA and the various prov cycling bodies advise cyclist via flyers in cycle shops and using sites such as Supersport and Entryonline about the changes for 2008, including the fact one need not belong to a club but can obtain a lic but that you can get one directly from your prov body. What i would also allow is no limit on temp number, but reduce the fee to say R10 - R20 a race.
  20. Perhaps they read the earlier Hub posts about not being very visual and decided to change that.
  21. So same as what goofs said, Mparalanga is one union that dont use CGC database so you need to buy a temp one.
  22. Its a frustrating job, but someone has to do it
