  9. Noticed the same thing on Saterday, decided to ride Hendrik Potgieter for the first time in yonks on my mtb (becuase I can). The greeting thing seems to have become out-dated. I greet regardless, but might miss a few when I am going uphill.

  16. As do I Slowpoke as do I. I may have cycled in the time you stated, cannot remember if I did the 94,7 in this time, but thank you. MichealH, what's so personal about what I said your comment sounds much more derogatory.
  17. Slowpoke - you seem quite the perfect specimen (holier than thou). I will reiterate, we all make mistakes with varying consequences, count yourself lucky all your indiscretions have been minor and had no effect on anyone else. (I am judging by your replies you have only had minor indiscretions) She made a mistake in judgement by coming back into the lane, will she do it again I doubt it! she will be more cautious I am sure.
  18. Anyone considered that she made a honest mistake, lapse in concentration, kids distracted her, who knows. We all make mistakes, some have terrible consequences (death), others not so serious. I have made many mistakes before and by grace no one has been seriously affected/injured. Surely people do not intend killing people, many non cyclist do not realise just how fast cyclist travel, and think that they will be long gone before the cyclist even reaches them. Be carefull to point fingers - tomorrow it could be your turn to make the mistake.
  19. Great Hairy
  20. There are lots of SUV forums where you will find support for your cause. You guys can all go jerk each other off over there about what you can and cannot afford. So you cant afford one Wow' date=' you really are doing a lot for the SUV driver's image. Keep it up. We're discussing road safety but you keep trying to tell us you have a lot of money. I hope it buys you lots of personality in the near future. [/quote'] Now you are assuming I have an SUV
  21. There are lots of SUV forums where you will find support for your cause. You guys can all go jerk each other off over there about what you can and cannot afford. So you cant afford one
  22. Point exactly' date=' everyones assuming that the guy in the SUV is wrong, because he drives one. Got nothing to do with the story (what he drives) the cyclist switched him, the point he is trying to make. SUV are generally large, so did said switcher not see him, take a chance no one knows.Dont crucify the guy for driving a SUV.[/quote'] No, you assume the cyclist was wrong..... If is has nothing to do with the story what he drives why does he mention it? SUV's are maybe large but it is NO excuse for not seeing someone, they have a better view than most people in cars....so I do no see why mention you drive a SUV? And I still do not believe the cyclist was wrong....drivers are idiots...as hardiman said...and as other people on this forum have proofed lately....drivers do not care about cyclists.... You dont drive then.
  23. That is not what was said......that is the problem...people assume to quickly.....read hariman's post again Where does it say that he does not have one? Point exactly, everyones assuming that the guy in the SUV is wrong, because he drives one. Got nothing to do with the story (what he drives) the cyclist switched him, the point he is trying to make. SUV are generally large, so did said switcher not see him, take a chance no one knows.Dont crucify the guy for driving a SUV.
