  1. My Missus reckons that my heart rate monitor strap is redundant because I am a heartless bar steward.

    Kona

Not a whole helluva lot it would seem.
  3. If you are insured, then all will be well as regards your bike. If you are not insured, then you need to lay a charge of Reckless And Negligent Driving against the Freelander driver. Once he is convicted (or pays the admission of guilt fine), you need to proceed with a civil case for damages.
  4. Wot 'appened? Tear yourself a new one or just tear the one you have? Hard lines Tumbleweed. Speedy recovery!
  5. Here is my thought on this: Le Tour has the yellow jersey, the Giro De Italia has the pink jersey so does that man we can use a tiger striped jersey if ours ends in Delmas? Plenty of styles to choose from in Brakpan so cost is not an option. Bitchy person (raucous applause)! There you go Oom H - we found one! Knob.
  6. Just glad you did not show me how long the middle one is.
  7. I think the Western Cape has possibilities - they can ride up and down and up and down and up and down the "mowntin" like shoowa! It will be awesome!
  8. What is too short? The lever or your fingers? For once, this is a serious question from me.
  9. Sounds about right according to what I have read. Did we not have a junior team that was/is sponsored by them?
  10. Will the race finnish in Parys? Just a giggle. I think a multiday stage race in the RS of A will be a marvelous thing. Bickering Administrators? Here? Now you are just being silly.
  11. I cannot belive there are no replies to this question. I am burning to find out as well.
  12. Sorry to skew the results, but I voted " Yes - Regularly" and I am a Roadie.
  13. +1 Again, +1 Yup. +1 If my smoke is bothering you, by all means TALK to me about it and I will sort it out immeadiately. Get all millitant at me and, well let me just end by saying I really do not react well to that type of treatment. I have been a smoker since December 1977. I have had a few complaints, even fairly stern words at times and I have always acceeded to the request. Anyone can make a mistake and if my smoke is bothering you, you have evry right to address me about it. I also have every right to spoken to in a civilised manner.
  14. I do apologise - I was posting in English as opposed to Seffrikkan. Can someone point me to the link for the Seffrikkan language pack that will run on the spell checker? Would it be better if I called you a knob?
  15. So, to stir the pot a little more now that the ripples are dying down, why would Alberto apologise to Andy if he did nothing wrong? A few pages back Andy was accused of bringing no glory to the yellow jersey because all he did was follow Alberto around the stages. How did Alberto celebrate his first day in the yellow jersey yesterday? Seemed to me that he pretty much was following the white one. I am not saying that Andy is the consummate Tour professional, that he is blameless and perfect. I am not even saying that I am supporting him for a Tour win this year. My biggest gripe was the way he shot off his pistol on the podium. That showed that he cares only about himself and what he can get out of anyone and anything. As a cyclist he is incredible, as a sportsman he is zero to me. He says that he did not know that Andy had a problem, and by the time he found out it was too late to stop the attack. If I take that at face value, why shoot off a victory shot on the podium because by that time he did already know what the story was. Perhaps this pistol thingy is an involuntary reaction to some or other medication - more of a tic than a salute.
  16. There goes the DSTV share price - SELL AT BEST!
  17. Good Move - put her on rations for a while, that will learn her! Nice to see a man of principles.B)
  18. Open mouth wide and insert footses. Errrm, se what I mean? Was there not a show on Springbok Radio by the name of "Call Back The Past"? Yes I am that old.
  19. Naah! Someone has to schedule all the World Cup re-runs.
  20. Mrs Contador: "Never kick a man when he is down" Young Contador: "Why not? When else do I kick him?" Relax Alberto Fans, that was just a joke. Same as the SRAM REDFACED ad placed earlier.
  21. I think it is called "Damage Control".
  22. Then I must be in the minority - I don't particularly like either of them. I don't think it is a case of liking one person over the other, rather it is a little bit more complex. However, I need to qualify my statements. I believe that Alberto Contador is a superb climber and a very effective TT rider. He was a worthy champion last year (even though I have never been one and am therefore prohibited from making such assumptions). I also admire Lance Armstrong's cycling ability even though I have never won 7 Tours de France. I have never met either of these gentlemen, so I may not comment on their characters or personalities (even though I do in fact have both of these traits). What I am commenting on is the way the victory was celebrated. I am guessing however that you are an Alberto Contador fan? There is nothing wrong with that either, just making an assumption.
