I really doubt that its the seatpost. If the seatpost was extended past the top of the toptube it can bend the seattube very easily.

The lever is situated a little high, so your finger struggles to reach it. And I dont think I have short fingers.

The only issue I had was reaching the down shifter when in the drops. But otherwise the shifting is flawless.

I had a pair. Never had any issues in 2 years. Except a broken spoke. The issue with the rims that Moegoe mentioned is a little frustrating when you change wheels. But you'll find a way around it.
