clutch derailleur works like a charm. There where certain sections of Groenies that by the time I got to the bottom, my chain was 90% of the time, off. new type derailleur = problem gone.

yip was there this morning as well, its still very new and a bit bumpy but absolutely loved it . Double thumbs up to red barn.

from what I have read about the premium strap, its problematic. stick to the original one.

Santa cruz tallboy LTC. Trail bike fun, with enough oomph to do the normal XCM stuff we Saffers tend to gravitate towards. Sure you wont win races on it , but its a blast to ride and its light enough for the stuff we ride. If your penchant is for XCM , XCO the normal tallboy also rocks. If u want a brilliant XC bike that can double as a trail-bike, and want to save a whole lot of moolah go for a giant anthem 29er. There is a reason every tom dick and harry has one, its because bang for buck, not much comes close. Thats for bikes Ive owned or ridden. Heard good things about Pyga, Yeti, Pivot and the new scotts (with the fox shock) but cannot comment from experience.

+1 for Evo bikes, bought slx brakes from them. they had no stock, after waiting 2 weeks they sent me the xt equivalent.

aslo had a good experience with them. Bought a gopro, used it a few times then stuck it in a cupboard. it spent about a year there and when I took it out, it wouldnt switch on. Couldnt find the slip or anything but took a chance and sent it in anyway for repairs. 2 weeks later they had replaced it with a new one, no mess no fuss. Awsome dealer, product is cool but I didn't find much use foe it. New ones living in a drawer as well

XT no doubts, fit and forget. Avids work fine but sing, they have more personality than someone with Tourette's.

Both those are awsome machines. Used to have a zesty 514, awesome bike. Now on a LTC as I had a 29er itch. Have to say If I could afford it I would want both. Oh yeah, and a 27.5 something , I mean if u have money to burn, why hold back.

Great ride today organisers, batches worked fantastic. It was just too damn "hot". Oh and one gripe, please stock the water points better, they where dry (jungle juice and stuff, there was water) by the time we got there.

slx, extra spent on xt makes no difference to brakes performance.

+1 on this, Using the reverb now for about a year and love it. Not just for downhills, you can use it to corner like u have rails.

yes, 2nd helmet is much cheaper. (about a 3rd of the price) Also take in the trashed one, they need to send it in.

Alu anthem, use the difference between alu and carbon to upgrade the wheels. Unless it has the new PXCR wheelset, they are good enough weighing in a 1.74 kg.

A Charge spoon, wiggle.co.uk +- 300 rand, as comfy as the Gobi and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Used to get headaches after long rides, found it was my helmet. Bought a specialised prevail and voila, problem gone. Cost me a pretty price though, but in context of no more headaches, was money well spent.

Awesome ride, also had mine shortened by 20ks though. Oh well,on the bright side, next time there will be something new to see

I ride about 4 times in a week and wash once on sunday. Maybe use a different lube, Im using squirt and its staying on for the week. (Im not riding through rivers and the like though)
