David, Gavin and I completed our 6th CTCT - start JS, 07h01 and finished in 3hr32. Always amazed at the support and gees along the route. Well done CTCT for taking the lead in inclusive cycling. Thank you for all the cheers and words of encouragement and the helping hands on Smits/Chappies and Suikerbossie.

does the metal only rule extend to wheels also or only frame?

Thanks Meezo - saw you guys on both the hills. David (in the buggy) Gavin and i managed to sneak in at 3hrs27. was pretty broken but stoked. awesome day out there. Really sad about the deaths and my heart goes out to the families dealing with the loss.

Have just got the VIPA, from a anthem X 29er. All I can say is WOW. Awesome bike, climbs like a dream, super stable on the decent. Point and shoot responsive (a morewood Zula with big wheels) Enjoy whatever you get.

anybody had experience with the rear pivot bearings going on the Scapal?

i suppose that is the deciding factor then - do i want to loose the "fun" and big hitting capabilities of the Giant for a Lefty fork and a more zippy/racy feel.

the giant for me is super stable, safe and predictable. i had the morewood Zula before the Giant and i miss the sharpness and directness of that bike. the giant is a cluster bomb, no need to pick lines, just ride and hang on. i have loved it but maybe time for a change, and a back end i can move around..

Hi, looking for opinions from people who own or have ridden both: in terms of ride quality - spec can be changed on both bikes. I have been riding the Anthem X 29er for the past 4 years and am unsure about changing. always wanted the Scapal 29er and a Lefty but am comfortable and know the Giant well. so opinions on the two are appreciated. Anthem X advanced 1 or Cannondale Scapal 3 (will be upgrading the Scapal parts, the Carbon frame is just too much extra ZAR's) Thanks

speak to Shane at Bowmans about the Silverback, very under rated and the full Ultegra is the deal clincher. good luck and enjoy what ever you get. at the end of the day it is just a machine that you have to pedal.

just had complete re builds of my front and rear fox done by the guys at STOKE. can recommend them highly.

Is it available live via streaming ?

I've recently moved to a BSR with ISP and couldn't be happier. The bike is stiff and stable and a pleasure to ride. I like that the spray job is custom and I won't be seeing another one around. I paid much less than a big name brand and a little more than doing it myself. At the end of the day if something goes wrong with the frame I know the guys at BSR will sort it out for me - no hassle.

I didn't want to go obvious with red or black cables and wanted another subtle colour on the bike. not the exact blue i wanted but cable choice was limited.

Olivia is my one daughter, my other is on the opposite side.
