  1. David, Gavin and I completed our 6th CTCT - start JS, 07h01 and finished in 3hr32. Always amazed at the support and gees along the route. Well done CTCT for taking the lead in inclusive cycling. Thank you for all the cheers and words of encouragement and the helping hands on Smits/Chappies and Suikerbossie.
  2. Hey Hubbers Dave and i taking on our 2nd 99ner and are missing our usual support riders. Please feel free to give a bit of shelter from the wind and a push up the hills if you can.
  3. SunRace CSMZ91X WT5 10-50t Vittoria tubbies 28mm please
  4. love the crank - the way i ride, not sure how long they'll stay like that though
  5. my new Pyga, Knipe_Racing custom spray by CBR. 130mm Pike up front, 110mm rear with South hoops. XT 12psd Lyne bar and dropper.
  6. I've been on the Revolt Advance 0 for 3 weeks now and am loving it. First weekend out was 150km road ride with 28mm tires on the spec rims. Quick change of wheels and 45c tires and was racing CX the next day. Perfect one bike, two applications. The ride is stiff but comfy, it climbs far better than i expected and is stable and direct on the descents. It feels compliant over the rough stuff without being sloppy. Doesn't feel like a gravel specific bike, more like a race bike that enjoys the playing in the dirt.
  7. I have ordered the Advance 0 - just waiting for it to get here. i went for the 0 because of the ultegra hydraulic brakes and the carbon wheels which i would have wanted to upgrade anyway. Have been looking at options for good while and kept on coming back to the Revolt. I wanted a bike that can do both road and gravel - will ride the carbon rims with 28c on the road and then have a set of ZTR crests for gravel days. will let you know what i think once i've ridden
  8. Thank you Ferro - that is awesome and much appreciated.
  9. This was our 5th CTCT, started in JS at 07h10 and finished 11mins slower than last year, 3h38. Was a super tough day. We ride to raise awareness and funds for www.raisinghopesa.com and NPO (NPO 176-282) that works to assist families affected by children with neurological disorders. Inclusivity in cycling and other sports is so crucial and it is where disability meets possibility. you can support the work the NPO does at www.tinyurl.com/ycyfjnys Big thanks to all the additional helping hands yesterday
  10. Hi, yes we did the 99ner. I ride the bike and the handles are for the support riders to push. We usually ride with at least one or two support riders. CTCT only let's one additional rider start in the same group as us so if you see us on the hills, and a handle is free, ask Gavin (support rider)if you can help.

  16. Hi Hubbers David and I have been riding together for 5 years and are looking forward to our 4th CTCT on the 11th March. This year we are riding in support of RAISING HOPE SA www.raisinghopesa.com Raising Hope SA is an organisation established with the aims of promoting social inclusion and supporting families and individuals impacted by disability. We are challenging cyclists to pledge R100 (or more )if we can go sub 4hrs at the event this year. You can make your pledge here or to mary@raisinghopesa.com. Team Turbo is a major fundraising platform for the charity and everybit helps. Please feel free to spread the word and help us reach our target. Our Givengain fundraising page is www.givengain.com/cause/7528/ Youtube video https://tinyurl.com/y7rd8u7r To all those riding CTCT, have fun, be safe and give us some support out on the road. Thanks David and Brett

  19. ]that was one of the hardest but certainly most rewarding day i have ever had on a bike. Our merry band of helpers set off at 07h15 from a cool Stellenbosch under clear skies with the promise of wind to come. the first 90km sailed by with banter, laughter and and a welcome tail wind. After the scheduled refuel at the base of Bothmanskloof Pass just outside Riebeck Kasteel we cruised up and over and rode smack into the headwind. The next 75km were tough, the road surface was rough and the wind was constant and almost exclusive from the front. The team did a great job of keeping David and I as protected as possible and i am very grateful for the many many many pushes received. There always a helping hand on the buggy or my shoulder and back. 6hr11 ride time and 6h40 in total for the 170km we made it back to Stellenbosch. David was champ, he loved it and happily told his dad that not next year but Monday he wanted want to do it again. please share as we are still looking for support in reaching our Fundraising goal for RAISING HOPE SA To the all those who were part of the many many people enjoying the slip stream through out the day - you know who you are .....please think about a small "thank you" and help support this great cause. #AbilityPower: support Cycling with David for Difference at https://www.givengain.com/cc/raisinghope170km/#AbilityPower: support Cycling with David for Difference at https://www.givengain.com/cc/raisinghope170km/ Mary Klinkradt CEO Raising Hope SA Where disability meets possibilty NPO: 176-282 Cell: 074 934 6279 www.raisinghopesa.com Facebook: Raising Hope SA Founder Ashlyn Klinkradt: Lead SA Youth Hero February 2017 Raising Hope South Africa (SA) Bank details: Account Name: Raisinghopesa Bank: FNB Account Number: 62663697939 Branch Code: 250655
