  1. If you're in the licensed groups, you would have received a board in the envelope matching the bib number. According to CSA you then have to mount both your timing board as well as the board with your bib number on your bike. If the board you received is another timing board, i.e. 2nd timing board, then go to the site below and type in your name and surname, and see which one is linked to your name for the event. https://ridejoburg.co.za/starttimes/
  2. I believe we need to avoid the beetroot and carrot juice they're handing out at the expo ... 😂
  3. 100% agree... 👍
  4. Having the board verified is optional All the new riders get to the Expo without a board and surely no compulsory board needed to be at the Expo for them ...
  5. It is not Ayoba ... But I'll take that suffering over crashed hopes on race day ...
  6. On the topic of cramps .... I have found that caffeine seems to make the occurrence of cramps I experience, worse. If I wind down my caffeine intake from 3 days out, all seems to be good ...
  7. It is not compulsory, only if you want to test if your board is "working". They "said" the same when we still used the Orange / Yellow Racetec Chips ...
  8. Agreed on the basis that HP is already Blacklisted (based on information shared on another platform) for the Central Gauteng Region and is not allowed to host / present in the region. However they're still allowed for North Gauteng.
  9. Statement from Gauteng Cycling regarding Tshwane Classic, issued earlier today ... Gauteng Cycling Statement
  10. Someone started a WhatsApp group for those that want to get involved in getting their refunds from Hectic ... See link below to join the group. Hectic! Refund please
  11. It was not paid as per official statement from Metro. I believe some news reports indicated that some Metro Police officials was at the start line on Sunday, waiting on the event. Obviously they did not get the SMS we did...
  12. Some dot watching coming up
  13. Depending on the direction you take from Bidon, the instructions / route will differ. If going down the hill towards Rhino Lion Park, you turn right at the circle at the bottom, then straight on at the "middle" circle, and right again at the "top" circle, then right again back to Bidon by the Satellite Dish, straight back to Bidon
  14. They did the "same thing" in 2020 and cited that "emergency services" would not be available, or something of that nature and moved the event to Reyton area, there by the Legends MX site ... Which was also a shambles ....
  15. As Benky finishes, Tegan should about be starting?
  16. Note the below relates to how things were THEN, and not necessarily now, but should give you an idea ... Wahoo Kickr Firmware Rollback For Android Open the Wahoo Utilities app. Make sure the Wahoo device is powered on. Click on the Wahoo device when it pops up. Wait for the Wahoo Device to connect, once connected tap the grey icon of the device with the Bluetooth emblem in it 10 times to bring up the firmware update list. It will show what firmware is current, choose the latest firmware next to that update in the list or the one that is (recommended). Allow the update to finish and try and reconnect the device to the Wahoo Fitness app when done. Return to the Wahoo Fitness app, repair the sensor in the sensor settings and save the sensor to the proper workout profiles. Return to the main wahoo fitness screen, select the proper workout profile and start your workout! For iOS Open the Wahoo Fitness app. Click the sensors icon on the bottom left side of the app. Click On the device if it is saved, find a new sensor if it is not saved. Click on the Wahoo device when it appears and wait for it to connect. Click the grey device icon with the Bluetooth emblem in it 5 times to bring you to the firmware update screen. Click on the recommended update or the downgrade to the current update you are using. Once complete, go back to the sensors page, save sensor to the proper profiles. Return to the main screen, select workout, and start your workout!
  17. Shortly after I got my Kickr Core (May 2020) there was a firmware update. After the update I had many issues. I then managed to roll-back the firmware and have not done an update since. Thus far, no issues. Maybe try that?
  18. A slow VD seeding for me. Was hoping at getting to that elusive sub 3, but with the comments regarding the times being slower on average, I have no hope.
  19. You can try emailing Carika - carika@advendurance.com She responded to an email I sent a few weeks ago regarding seeding ...
  20. It is a good "starting point" if his end goal is Ironman ...
  21. The Frame is indeed limited to 25mm tyres. I've never ridden another carbon framed bike, so I'm not able to comment on the "compliance / harshness" of the ride. At 49yrs, my bones are still coping with the "harshness" dished out by the frame...
  22. Depending on the derivative, the Propel came with Aero Rims & Di2 (Advanced 1 I think), or Alu Rims with Ultegra (Advanced 2). There is also a difference in the Carbon materials used between the derivatives. I ride the 2016 Advanced 2, and upgraded my rims as funds became available. It came standard with the 34/50 Chainwheel set, which I changed over to the 36/52. Thus far no issues. The bike in the advert looks in good nick.
  23. There goes my sub 3 "dream" 🤣
  24. Work permitting, I'll try and achieve a goal I set myself for the event. Although I doubt that it is achievable taking into consideration that the route is a few km's longer than the route I last rode in 2019. Being in the "Buffalo category" also does not help much in achieving the goal. Out of interest, how much "slower" are the times on the "new" route than the route of 2019? (If at all)
