  1. Has anyone actually managed to collect their race numbers etc on Tuesday?
  2. Not received mine yet, might go out this evening as number collections started today. Weird, should have gone out by yesterday then ...
  3. My friend is not from Worcester, further south though ... 😉 He has indicated that I can share his number with you via PM.
  4. A friend of mine has been riding a Hurricane for about 4-5 years now, and he is very happy with the bike. He imported the frame only, and then did a custom build to complete the bike. I'll share this link with him and he can then maybe comment... Alternatively I'll share his number via PM if he agrees and you can get in touch directly with him.
  5. Just be careful on the road after you turn of the N4; if you do take the route via Belfast and Dullstroom; tyres get destroyed.
  6. I'm looking after a couple of Teams doing the WTRL TTT's on Thursday evenings. One of the Teams has been qualifying for the TTT Premier events the last couple of weeks. The Team is in need of strong Cat D riders; as categorized by ZwiftPower. If there's riders that would like to give it a go, let me know via PM...
  7. We rode through there on Sunday, all good. Just be on the look out for gravel that washed across the road in some of the bends. Some riders were using the other gate ...
  8. It's a normal kettle cord fitting, easy enough to "fix"
  9. Last I did this in 2019, they issued a board at registration, which they then collected again at the finish ...
  10. Wheel choices to be made...
  11. I changed my crankset just because of this .... My climbing is ok for a big guy, but need to somehow endure the "constant" climbing ...
  12. For the bigger riders doing aprox 1200m climbing in the first 35km will be a challenge ...
  13. Don't forget about the Mitsubishi Triton ... (If you get past the styling and appearance)

    Jock 2020

From their FB page published on Monday ... "Good evening Cyclist Friends, our announcement comes as no surprise after the tighter lock down restrictions announced by President Ramaphosa this evening. Unfortunately the hosting of our Jock cycling event is postponed until further notice. We will announce the new date, which will still be during 2021, as soon as possible. All confirmed and paid entries for the Jock will remain active at this stage. Please be assured that we have done our level best to ensure that the event take place, however the national lock down restrictions has had the final determination. We apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment. Be safe and take care."
  15. I guess what I'm trying to get to is that they'll always try and shift the blame to someone else ...
  16. Good luck getting any form of cooperation from Cycle Lab that results in all parties walking away from the discussions with workable solutions. I am aware of a situation where a lady attempted to take up the matter of bad behavior of riders in the groups, where riders swore and shouted at children and other road users, with Andrew and another person who's name I don't remember. Emails were sent back and forth, and a face to face meeting was had. In the end Cycle Lab refuses to take any responsibility for the behavior of the riders in the groups and pushed all blame onto the other parties.
  17. Thank you I see they posted is on their FB page ... I'll keep an eye on it there.
  18. Hi Everyone Has anyone received replies on their queries regarding Jock Classic from H&A Toere?
  19. Just received more information. The initial report of the Cyclist passing away was incorrect. Speedy recovery to the Rider.
  20. I got this from one of the Cycling groups on my WhatsApp. The only information shared was that it happened in Northcliff.
  21. "Bloed sweet" ....
  22. If they have roaming Marshalls on motorbikes with each "batch", it helps a lot to guide the traffic past the bunches etc. We had them at the Jo'burg Classic, and to me they made a difference.
  23. Basically the same here ...
  24. Yeah, lots and lots of parking. Just wondering how they will manage vehicle entry and exit on the same piece of road we "race" on. If I remember correctly the entry / exit "road" is single lane ...
  25. I see on their website that the route has changed for the event on 23 May. Wondering about the logistical issues regarding parking etc ... Only by chance that I saw this. Again no communication from the events company regarding this.
