  1. Has anyone had the chance to test out their helmet of choice before purchasing it? I know a helmet can feel pretty different after a few km of riding Does Mips actually make that much of a difference? Most of the big brands have to stick to certain safety standards. Do the benefits outweigh the negatives ?
  2. Hey Hubbers, I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions on the topic of helmets. With so many options available in the SA market, choosing the right helmet can be a challenge. What factors do you usually consider when purchasing a new helmet? Do you prioritize the brand, features, and price, or do you base your decision on the helmet's appearance and fit? What don't you like? What would put you off buying a specific helmet? I love some thoughts. Maybe we can turn this thread into a helmet buyers guide
  3. I’ve had my Rook for a number of years. Used it to commute into town from Tableview. Can’t fault the quality for the price. depending on your preference, Rook will usually put either a flat or drop bar on the bike
  4. The suppliers changed a few years back. They could have a different policy. Maybe give them a shout on Monday. https://switchbacksports.co.za/collections/poc-all
  5. Consider adding it to your household. Alternatively try Cyclesure. I’ve gone down both routes. But I found Cyclesure offers better rates and backup
  6. Try East City Cycles. I saw they sold one a few weeks back
  7. On a road like Chappies it just makes in dangerous around some of those corners. I agree that it was done so to slow motorists down. Tested the new road on the motorbike, and nearly came off at 20 kph around some of those corners.
  8. Thanks for the response. Looking forward to hitting the Tokai trail for the first time
  9. Only the ladies Camber 650B is boost. Non on the 29er modles are boost. If you judge a bike based on spec, rather look at other brands. But as far as ride goes, nothing compairs
  10. I found a Garmin cycling gps on the trails behind Broadacres this morning. Please help me find its owner
