  1. Divan...i can't even begin to imagine how hard the job of the co-driver has to be!! One of the things i want to do before i die is to ride in a car with a Raleigh driver though. Very true re.F1 being easier because of them doing one track over and over and over again without really any obstacles. I can't really decide which i like more though...as raleighs are more based on fastest times to complete the course, which basically is like a TT...the cool thing about F1 is the excitement of guys passing each other/team strategies and the ever present pit lane dramas. But hey...guess i'm just crazy about cars in general..so i'll watch everything. F1, Raleighs, on the odd Saturday night, the local stock cars...whatever:) See you live in the Western Cape...have you ever gone and watch the Swartland Raleigh?? we've gone twice...usually a great day out
  2. I think i'll consider being a Vettel fan next year:) Hamilton's a good driver...but his attitude sucks...i like a good sportsman first of all and if he's got skill to go with that...great! I mean...going and comparing YOURSELF to the sport's greatest ever drivers...hmmm....die seuntjie se kop raak bietjie te groot!! Let other people speculate and say you're in Shummi or Senna's league...eish! I hate arrogance! So yeah...he can be 7 time world champ - i still won't like him. Oh...and someone said that Loeb's a better driver than all of these guys...haha...that's what my dad also always says. I tend to want to agree, because wow - he can handle a car like no one else...but still...two entirely different ball games. Think he'll take a little while to get used to a F1 car and vice versa for the F1 drivers..
  3. haha...sorry oom!!
  4. i really don't care who won...as long as it wasn't Hamilton... Haha...maybe he can try writing a second Autobiography and see if it'll sell now... Arrogant prick!!
  5. Argh...judging by some facebook updates there's quite a few hubbers not happy with the Hamilton win... Bloody Toyota!!!! just told Poison Ivy i'm going to kick a few dents into my dad's Camry...argh!! and honestly...16secs!!! ya right!!!

  9. Eclipse...ja...Vooma Vanilla's not bad either...but i've upgraded hiehie On the bombs topic...i probably have 8 of them lying around in my cycling ammo-box, but i like the "old" way best...i take the pump - i've seen too many people doing something wrong and then the bomb loses its gas/stuff and then they're stuck. But hey...maybe i should give it another try sometime..
  10. LOL @ Fand & Wheelz!!!
  11. LOL mr. Smartypants!! have you tried it?
  12. Yang...i only race on Gels (GU espresso love is the only one i can stomach though) and water...works like a bomb. And just for an extra if i get hungry i take a jungle bar with, but 90% of the time that's just extra weight as i get to the end without having eaten that

  18. my 2c... i'm a VERY picky eater/drinker when i'm on the bike - find it nearly impossible to use most products that USN, PVM, EnerVit etc etc etc offer when i'm riding. So i ride with only water in my bottles because all the carb-filled drinks gets seriously awful when it starts to get warm and the rest of the stuff is just plainly far too sweet! Energy bars are quite hard to swallow, but if i know i will HAVE to eat something on a 6 or so hour ride i stick to basics - jungle bars or Bar Ones. The only product that i've found that works for me is GU Espresso Love. I LOVE it and since i've started using it a few years ago i've converted quite a few other people to using it - so i do agree - word of mouth works best. I've let the people taste it and most of them love it and now uses it themselves. What i like about it: GU's size is managable - the WHASP sachets are a bit lumpy and on the two occassions i've used it in a race i found it difficult to down an entire sachet while in quite a fast paced bunch. So i'd seriously vouch for it if you can offer smaller portions Taste...i'm not really one for fruity flavours and unfortunately i'm not tooooo crazy about custard either. The coffee flavour is the one that really stands out and prior to the Espresso love i also didn't like any of the other gels - so maybe try something in that line when you're thinking of a new flavour? WHASP's more runny texture isn't bad though and i think it worked quite well...that's plus points - the only thing that made me not buy it again was the flavours - but that's really only personal preferance. Your packaging IMO is by FAR the most appealing!!! I love it...so really nothing wrong there! ooooh...and the cycling kit is GORGEOUS!! Where can i buy it????:-D so let me know when you've got a coffee-ish flavour out - then i'd DEFINITELY buy WHASP more often!
  19. Goeie #@(*&*!!!!! eish....where's the photo of the scattered bones and cracked skull that's supposed to be close by? Although...somehow...i'm scheming that that thing must have been hit by a car. hmmmm...let's see who can come up with the most original stories surrounding these photos!;-)
