  1. Looking for a seatpost shim 27.2 - 30.9, any suggestions as to which bike shops in Cape Town would have them ?
  2. They will most likely replace with 12 speed cranks fitted with 11 speed chainrings if no stock is available
  3. Even Vingegaard himself was surprised by the scale of his victory, telling reporters afterwards: "It was one of my best days on the bike ever, so good that at one point I even doubted my power metre, it was showing so high." "It was on the flat part of the course, I was holding back and thinking I wanted to do around 360 watts," he said. "However, I ended up doing 380 watts between the two climbs." "We made all the tests beforehand and it was clear for us that it was an advantage to change the bike for Tadej and not change the bike for Adam Yates, for example. It's an individual thing and it was clear from the beginning," Gianetti said. "We lost 10 seconds in the bike change, which we expected, but we lost another 1:30, too. So the difference today wasn't in the change of bike, the difference was in the power."
  4. saw these at Cyclelab a few months ago, looks like they're sold out locally as well : https://evobikes.co.za/product/vittoria-terreno-29-tlr-graphene-2-0-29-x-2-25/. https://www.bike24.com/p2336058.html
  5. Protection (blackchili compound) version was sold out locally so got them from Chain Reaction https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/int/p/continental-race-king-protection-folding-mtb-tyre?color=black&wheelSizeWidth=29"+|+2.2" alternatively bike24 : https://www.bike24.com/p2266654.html Shieldwall version seems to be available locally : https://bike-addict.co.za/products/continental-race-king-shieldwall-29-x-2-2-tyre
  6. been running them for the last 3 months on Mavic carbon rims, have not seen a single drop of sealant - using Joes sealant hold pressure really well
  7. recently switched from Maxxis Rekon Race to Continental RaceKing Protection, can definitely say they're faster and feel more supple. https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com
  8. also at Majik Forest, was going down the vineyard section after the steep climb and noticed a guy and his 2 dogs coming up the path, stopped on the side to let them pass. One of his dogs was running up, changed direction and ran into my bike almost knocking me over... The guy did apologise
  9. Crashed at Majik Forest to avoid hitting a few walkers at a downhill intersection who weren't paying attention and walked in front of me. I wasn't annoyed as I don't think they were expecting a bike coming down there due to lack of signage and the landing was soft... Mixed usage trails are always a risk and I try to ride as slow and considerately as possible always expecting someone to step in front of me
  10. Crashes on Sunday, minor damage to bike but shoe sustained some abrasion. Mainly cosmetic. Investigated repair options in Cape Town and eventually took it to Durasole in Wynberg. Picked it up today and am quite happy with the work.
  11. Seems like its not UCI compliant.... https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/bianchi-oltre-rcs-air-deflectors-are-illegal-uci-confirms/
  12. Currently using 30mm Continental GP5000 STR with JOES SUPER SEALANT. Brilliant tyre, very fast and grippy (feels more grippy than GP5000 clinchers). Had a puncture that sealed once and another where I used a plug once without losing too much pressure (Dynaplug)
  13. It might have looked a bit sedate on TV but....
