  1. I have also had the misfortune of having to deal with a replacement issue for my Mavic SLR wheelset. It was a few years back but it took about 5 months and countless calls/ emails to get anywhere... Dragon sports' service put me off ever buying mavic again- there are other great brands out there.
  2. Nice route, well marshaled & good competitors... Well done Delta Park School on a great event!!!
  3. Thanks guys- the WeeRide is what I had just about decided on before I posted...
  4. My little boy is 11 months next week & I'm itching to get him on the bike... What carriers are recommended? Edit- I only have carbon frames, so I believe mounting the carrier may be an issue
  5. And he was still quicker than I would have been..
  6. Hahaha- that is funny though...I will add that to my repertoire for my next ride
  7. The human body is quite amazing- I saw an accident where I was certain the guy had died- but he survived and as far as I know made a full recovery... Let's hope this commuter pulls through without to many lasting issues... (We can only hope...) The medical care he'll receive as a "commuter" will sadly be lacking though.
  8. Really cool cover!! I like how the lead singer didn't try and match Freddie's vocals ('cos that's just not possible). Instrumentals also interesting...
  9. What a true champion!! The way he said he won silver really puts his character into perspective...

Did you also smile from ear to ear when you found out??
  11. I have been thinking the head tube angle & possible stresses could be an issue...
  12. I have a spare GT Zaskar carbon 26er HT frame. It will take a 650b wheel at the back. Could I put a long travel (140-160mm) 650B fork on the front and use the bike for enduro? Or would I be wasting my time?
  13. I stared for 2 minutes waiting for it to be a gif... It wasn't. So I stared for another 2 minutes just to be sure ...
  14. Paul who used to work at Pro Cycles in Benoni has now gone on his own. Company is call PG Carbon- based in Benoni. He has repaired two bikes for me- no problems to date...
  15. They have backing from proper cycling governing bodies, proper coaching and proper money behind them.Other that that- not much...
  16. They won't show on any podium- old news in terms of pro riders IMO... Especially if they have to ride the whole route and not whinge about being bust taking shortcuts...
  17. My SA team of choice would be the youngsters: Rourke & Travis - I hope they clean up!!

Pity the Blue Bulls can't play this well when they're wearing pink...
  19. My initial thoughts were fairly similar. R4400 for a two day course that covers basics that you learn on the trails as you go(except for wheel truing) seems very steep. Good luck to them- I liked the idea of it but when I looked at the prices it put me right off...
  20. ***! Last years kit was much much much nicer
