  1. You lost me at ..."In the instructions..."
  2. First thing that came to mind was our wonderful ANC government... They have the resources to get us out of this hole, but they are busy destroying everything....
  3. That's hot- guys dig chicks with sports injuries
  4. Ivo & Dangle - always smiling... A proper LBS imo...
  5. Why do you need a saddle????
  6. If I'm not mistaken the Spez shoes use that tool. I have one in JHB... What about stopping in at a Spez concept store with the shoe and asking if the tool is the same...?
  7. PG Carbon are fantastic- I just some work done with them and it was perfect. Paul has now done two bikes for me and they have not given one days problem. He also repaired a carbon Mtb wheel- no issues... Excellent workmanship and decent pricing- can't ask for better than that. They are in Benoni, but I think they can make arrangements to collect... I will get the # for you
  8. Haha- I see the OP liked your comment, yet no pictures posted... Unless she Pm'd them to you???
  9. Shame man- what a way to go... My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

    new bike

For a newbie i'd recommend setting your budget and then looking here to see what you can pick up in that budget. There are various factors to consider when buying your bike(s)- but it's a bottomless pit of fun ( and destroys your bank balance). So find something you can learn on and them upgrade from there... I started on a Schwinn Mesa (R3000) and for that period of time it was perfect. Now I have a few in the stable and I love them all
  13. 1-9-10
  14. The Braamfontein Spruit. Runs from Emmarentia to Witkoppen rd in Sunninghill (or the other way round). Safer area is the Emmarentia to Fratellis (Blairgowrie) section. As a newbie I wouldn't reccomend riding it alone. You can also incorporate Alberts Farm and Delta Park into the 'Spruit' ride.
  15. It was really good route this year- the berms and jumps very fun and the scout area was a very nice addition. Well done to all the organizers involved!! @Pieter1 - why were you jogging on the last lap? We're you not buggered enough fron doing solo SS?
  16. Thanks SteveS! True- but hitting the jump would've made it look cooler
  17. I think I need to book you for an hour to get some pointers ... Just not tomorrow
  18. Hey guys- did a sneaky delta ride tonight... The route is awesome, some nice jumps! Only one I didn't do was the 'logs' jumps ( one day when I'm big) Tomorrow is going to be super- if anyone is looking for a last minute ride tomorrow - line entries are still on...
  19. I agree Patches- I seriously doubt Nirvana would have been able to carry on putting out the quality material we got from them. Dave Grohl is the real deal though- pure talent Drums Guitar Singer- and an awesome presence. Not many out there to rival him. That'd be a good poll- who'd rival Dave Grohl for awesomeness?? It'll need to be two polls- alive / kicking up daisies... Freddie Mercury The Boss
  20. Good luck- I know that feeling!!
  21. HOW MUCH
  22. JHB South- best trails in Gauteng...(imho)
  23. Shimano XT - I just got back from a rain ride down the spruit, delta and emmarentia...and my pedals are still there I had eggbeaters & candys - to much maintenance. Xt don't look as good but when I'm riding I don't see them...
  24. Just read on twitter.. Anyone know anything about this?
  25. Enjoy the sore forearms tomorrow Who's next?
