    I have a spare GT Zaskar carbon 26er HT frame. It will take a 650b wheel at the back. Could I put a long travel (140-160mm) 650B fork on the front and use the bike for enduro? Or would I be wasting my time?

    Yes- no problem, very safe...(IMO) Only thing to worry about is running out of skill on the blue routes... Other than that- best riding in JHB. Maybe PM NSBB to see if he can guide you on a mid week outing...

    There is a guy call Bogus on the Hub that does carbon repair- send it to him and it'll come back brand new. Shouldn't be an expensive repair. I have 2 carbon frames that were repaired and they haven't given me a days problem. Then either sell it ( & disclose the repair), or build up a 2nd bike. Option 2 is always best- you can never have to many bikes!!

    Who would you insist on a replacement from?Silverback would surely, and imo rightfully, say the damage was caused by over tightening the front DR. So either the bike shop cause this, or the owner. Not a manufacturing defect. To the OP- I would say that's not cosmetic, so either sell it voetstoots, or get it repaired and build a spare bike...

    The support driver is normally a mate or family member... When I did it, the wives were the support drivers and it worked well...

    Paul who used to work at Pro Cycles in Benoni has now gone on his own. Company is call PG Carbon- based in Benoni. He has repaired two bikes for me- no problems to date...
