I saw your swim tactics comments in the Ironman 70.3 topic earlier the year . . . if your running tactics are the same, how is that going to help me?! You entered yet?

Riding the TransDraak, not racing it! Well thats the plan. Still 8 weeks to go to Ironman, that a lot more than a month to go :-) Will decide tommorow on the Buffelspoort 70.3 Tri . . .

Doing the TransDraak 24h 210km MTB race this weekend as a LSD ride, well that’s the plan. Doing the Buffelspoort Tri next weekend can maybe be too much. Racing/Competing 2 weekend in a row . . . Thinking of rather doing the Denel 21km road running race end of March which actually runs past my house. Running was my problem at the 70.3 and wanted to test the running legs at Buffelspoort

Mmmm, to enter or not to enter . . . Will this be a good race to put down a marker to see how the Ironman training is going?!

Any other Hubbers crazy enough to do it this year?! Started my 12 week Ironman training on Monday and will either be super fit or dead on the 22nd of April

Any news on the release date!? My Polar 720i decided to die at the 70.3 Ironman pre race swim on Saturday L Now I must buy the 910XT J

We wanted to do our last open water swim there yesterday and was told we could not! Only next week . . . we asked why, is the Hippo back!? The reception lady only laughed . . . She only said the manager said we were not allowed to swim. Still don’t know why!

I am also looking at the RCX5 and 310XT. Anybody using the RCX5 for multi-sport training?

Yeah, doing it one shot or in stages, you still have to cycle 150km to finish! Doing it in stages was not to bad. Starting the last stage @ 14h00 was a bit late and standing in the sun waiting to start was also not fun. Would have been nice if they had some Coke at the stop overs - would have killed for a Coke at Kaapmuiden.
