I have been riding mine for just over 1 year now. What a bike!! I really enjoy the bike. Handling is good, light bike and the components are tough. I enjoy mine a lot!!

Garfield 2010, what is your race number I do not want to swim close to you!!!

Hi, I bought a Forerunner 405 with the idea that I will be able to use it for triathlons, (salesmen word). When I started using it I read in the manual that it can be dangerouse to swim with the watch as it might "can cause a short in the unit". Is this for all swimming? I tried a open water swim with the device and showed I did 2km in stead of 600m so I assumed someting is wrong. Wondered if you could help.

Thanx for all the advice and inputs. Seems like the 70.3 will be full of sick and injured athletes. I have a calf injury and have been nursing. Down scaled my running and hoping to last the 21km run. Hopefully the rush of participating will pull me through. Also upped my vitamin intake due to a sore throught which I hope I have stopped in time. Good luck to all out there, have a super race.

See in the Ride magazine there are a race in Mosselbay this saturday 16 April 2011. Called the Le Peleton Event. Any one doing, planning on doing, done before? Thanx.

This year they issued a chip (if lost there were a fine of I think it was R500.00). It is a great race / experience. Bike leg is not easy but as a friend once told me you have to do the bike to start the run.
