  1. Nope the other way round ... Robbie leading out Enrico!!!
  2. Hennie Wentzel is an inspiration to the youth. Seems his 2 boys did not cut the grade at cycling. Hennie is so dedicated to his sport and fitness. Also a very nice person to talk to. I have trained cycling with him for many many weekends!
  3. Speak to Francios du Toit. Surely he would know who bought a Prince from him; the Prince is a fairly recent frame on the market!
  4. Slowjoe, the starting times are on the amashova website. If you do not know in which open group you will be then take the 2nd bus to be safe. If you a license rider than the 1st bus appears to be the safest option.
  5. Wolverine, I would suggest starting Moloto Road at the traffic intersection (Zambesi and the road coming from Cullinan) Zambesi road I would think after the N1 section towards the Kolonade side ...
  6. My suggestions: -Moloto Road -Zambesi Road -Botha Avenue both directions -Nelmapius towards St George Hotel -Nelmapius from Old Johannesburg side -R21 between Fountains and Klapperkop -Eeufees towards YSKOR -East Lynne Road (towards Moloto) -CR Swart ?? of Soutpansberg?? -Old Johannesburg road towards N1/Rooihuiskraal
  7. or maybe "a picture is worth a thousand words cause it is made up of a thousand pixels"
  8. I found my set of Zonda wheels at best at training n racing .... I also have Mavic Ksyrium ES and SL ... found SL to be a very durable and strong wheel but very heavy for racing ... Racing I find Bora to be very responsive due to tubular tires and the high pressure the tubby can take!
  9. I suggest that ADMIN close this topic! The decision was made; damage was done ... why does each and everyone now needs justification?
  10. Correctly say about "DO the JOB right"; however we are human beings; at the time of the decision, the selectors possibly thought they are following the right decision? With the unpacking of the facts recently and some hubbers appearing to have more knowledge about the decision process etc. than the selectors, brings me to the following: The selectors have less decision knowledge than some hubbers although they willing to do the job; The selectors realise their mistake and come in the public and make a statement, even resign; No hubber, giving comments here on this forum, volunteers to be a selector and do the thankless job.
  11. So Erika Green admitted where it went wrong .... Just remember it is always easy to criticize people / decisions; but no one wants to do the job. Without people giving up there valuable/personal time and most of time do it for the passion of the sport; there will be no organisations and no representation at events such as the Worlds ... Give these people some credibility for there goodwill and dedication ...
  12. according to www.jjcycling.co.za it appears that they are still the distributor for Campag in SA.
  13. CWCycles prices are exellent for a local shop ... have to agree with SJ that an online payment facility would make online shopping even better!!!!!
  14. Local - Chris Willemse Cycles - www.cwcycles.co.za Abroad: totalcycling (UK) and Comobike (Italy)
  15. Why not start the same time as the Bruce group @ 6h30 and veer off at Soutpansberg and start with the loops.
  16. Inspekteur Derrek Bonanza Dallas 1976 - Heidi Pippie Langkous
  17. Gentlemen, Beesblaas made a statement to say that rider 1212 was at fault during the Bela Bela ride. I went to the championchip website and saw 1212 corresponded to Anton; in fact did a straight cut and paste. Only after Anton inform the hubbers that his number was something else; did I realise by checking my own number that the number quoted on the championchip website was indeed not the number I had on my back. This I have said in my previous posting and have also apologised to Anton. There was no jumping to conclusion; this is an error from Championchip and the organisers for not having the correct information on the website. In fact Speke can give us the name of the number corresponding to 1212 as they gave the bike numbers to us. I do not think it was to slander Anton; nor his club on this forum!
  18. It appears that the numbers given on the championchip results do not correspond to the number we were given from the organisers. I have checked my number as well and even mine do not correspond to the one I had on my back. The organisers need to tell us who actually corresponded to 1212. My apologies to Anton Schreuder for reading off the championchip website that 1212 corresponds to his name ... it is indeed not him. Sorry Anton.KlapperKnop2007-06-05 14:47:59
  19. Cyclist should realise that in an organised event; where they ride with a number; their information is PUBLIC; which even the motorist this cyclist has offended can trace him/her!

  21. I admire Bjarne for having the courage to come clean ... even after such a long time ... It just make me think whether he is involved with Basso's Spain Issue ... and his guilty trip is catching up with him??? Being caught I feel is much worse than coming into the open and confess!!!
  22. Big H: Try Fritz Pienaar in LYnwood Road; alternatively I would think you should also get at Solomans Gift Shop in PTA North. You should be able to get their telephone numbers on the web.
